Reporting period: 1 August 2025 – 31 July 2026
The seventeenth report in SPU’s goal-by-goal series. This is the university’s public account of how it works with government, regional networks, civil society and the UN to move every SDG forward together.

No university reaches the SDGs alone. Sripatum University (SPU) reports its SDG 17 progress openly every year. With this page, SPU’s set of 2025/26 progress reports now covers all seventeen goals. This report follows the areas Times Higher Education measures under SDG 17:
- partnerships that shape policy, share data and spread best practice
- public reporting on every goal
- education for the SDGs
Under the Alpha Ready Roadmap, the Office of the Assistant to the President, the International Relations Office, faculties, student clubs and support units share this work.
Shaping SDG policy with government and regional networks
- National policy input: SPU experts helped the Department of Intellectual Property identify problems for Thailand’s Creative IP Roadmap. They also co-designed strategic issues of Chonburi’s Provincial Education Development Plan, including Learning City and Sustainability.
- Regional and UN input:
- An SPU expert represented the ASEAN University Network at the Global University Association Forum.
- SPU presented the Thailand Country Report on Cooperative and Work-Integrated Education at ASAIHL.
- SPU represented SUN Thailand at UN Thailand’s dialogue on putting the Pact for the Future into practice.
- SPU joined SDSN Thailand’s review of a decade of the SDGs.
Cross-sector dialogue
- Election 69: On 30 January 2026, the Faculty of Law co-hosted this forum on education policy with the Equitable Education Fund, Thai PBS, youth and civil-society networks and political parties.
- Women’s economic empowerment: SPU convened the Department of Women’s Affairs and Family Development with women entrepreneur networks on AI for women’s economic empowerment.
- Social investment: SPU hosted the Social Innovation Foundation to explore BOI-CSR incentives for social and environmental impact.
Gathering and sharing SDG data internationally
- Global measurement: SPU submits verified institutional data to the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, a global framework for measuring university progress on the SDGs.
- ASAIHL: At the ASAIHL Conference in Ho Chi Minh City in December 2025, SPU shared national evidence on work-integrated learning with Asian universities.
- Cross-border standards: In July 2026, SPU and the Thai BIM Association hosted Chinese building-research institutes. Together they compared construction standards and set a joint agenda for a cross-border building-standards database.
Developing international best practice
- ASEAN–China: As ASEAN Secretariat of the ASEAN–China ACAPHEI network, SPU gave a keynote at the Seventh ASEAN–China Forum in November 2025. The talk shared SPU’s AI-enabled model of sustainable education for regional adaptation.
- Singapore: With Ngee Ann Polytechnic, SPU ran the Co-Create Sustainability Hack in September 2025, a hackathon where Thai and Singaporean students built sustainable business ideas. SPU then refined the model into the course-integrated Co-Create Sustainability Lab 2026.
Working with NGOs
- Student volunteering:
- The Rotaract Club of SPU co-ran a youth peace forum with Rotary District 3350.
- Students trained as road-safety messengers in Rotary Thailand’s Traffic Vaccine project in May 2026.
- Students volunteered at blood drives with the Thai Red Cross Society.
- Research and learning resources:
- Engineers shared mussel-shell building-block research with a coastal civil-society coalition in Samut Songkhram.
- SPU signed an MoU with the Board Game for Education Association to co-develop game-based learning tools.
Education for the SDGs
- For students:
- General Education electives teach sustainability directly, from circular lifestyles to the BCG economy.
- International Trade Business students joined the UN conference “Climate Change and SDG Synergy” at the UN Conference Centre, Bangkok, on 29 June 2026.
- Student leaders took part in UN Thailand’s Pact for the Future dialogue.
- For the wider community:
- On 8 August 2025, first-year students from Communication Arts and Entrepreneurship handed SDG learning materials they had designed to Khlong Sam Wa District and its school leaders.
- On 12 March 2026, the Faculty of Information Technology hosted the SPU GreenTech Gen Z Challenge, where secondary and vocational students used AI to tackle environmental problems.
Next year, SPU aims to:
- widen data partnerships that strengthen global SDG measurement
- turn regional best-practice exchanges into joint research and courses
- extend capacity-building with NGOs and schools in its neighbourhoods
Partnership is how a university’s knowledge becomes shared progress.
At Sripatum University, SDG 17 is the goal that holds the others together. By reporting openly on all seventeen goals, and by building partnerships from district offices to the United Nations, SPU commits to sustainable development as a shared effort in which every partner learns and acts together.
