A greenhouse-gas plan only matters when others can use it. Sripatum University is turning its own low-carbon roadmap into a shared resource for partners well beyond its campus.
Why a plan, and why share it. Sripatum University (SPU) runs its campus under a Climate Action Plan: a working framework to measure, plan and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. It is rooted in the university’s Energy and Environmental Conservation Policy and a carbon-neutral pathway for Scopes 1 and 2. The plan has five practical levers:
- renewable and clean energy
- energy-efficient new builds and renovations
- moving away from coal and oil
- waste reduction
- more green space
In 2026 SPU strengthened its climate governance by forming an Energy, Environment and GHG Management Committee, chaired by a Vice President. The committee maintains the GHG inventory, prepares an annual report, sets reduction measures in line with Thailand’s national direction and makes the results public.
Sharing it where it counts. Through the 2025–2026 academic year, SPU took the plan outside the campus:
- Government: With the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), SPU launched ECOLIFE in U at Freshy Day 2026. The app turns students’ everyday low-carbon actions into data for the university’s GHG accounting.
- Policy dialogue: The Faculty of Engineering joined the SDSN Thailand Public Forum 2025 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Energy Symposium 2025 on Thailand’s energy and climate transition. SPU also exchanged good practice with peer universities at the Sustainable University Network of Thailand (SUN Thailand) annual meeting.
- International stage: International Business students joined UN ESCAP’s “Climate Change and SDG Synergy” conference and a roundtable on low-carbon transport at the United Nations Conference Centre.
- Industry: SPU energy experts trained industrial engineers on energy-saving strategies to cut emissions. The Faculty of Engineering’s TIE-CON AIoT platform is helping factories verify their energy savings on the road to net zero.
- Communities: General Education students planted mangroves at Laem Fa Pha, Samut Prakan, and SPU Chonburi volunteers did the same on World Forestry Day, restoring blue-carbon coastlines that protect local livelihoods.
Sharing the plan multiplies its effect.
Impact and next steps. Government partners gain a tested campus model, industry gains practical tools to lower emissions, and coastal communities gain natural buffers against climate impacts. The work reflects SPU’s commitment to climate action, clean energy and partnerships. It also supports the university’s 2026–2030 Reinventing (Alpha Ready) development plan to produce graduates ready for a low-carbon economy. Next, SPU will publish its GHG reporting regularly and open more joint projects with local authorities around its campuses.
At SPU, climate action is not a document on a shelf. It is a plan the university measures, improves and shares, so that its partners and communities can move toward a low-carbon future together.

แผนลดก๊าซเรือนกระจกจะมีพลังจริงเมื่อผู้อื่นนำไปใช้ได้ มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุมจึงเปิดเส้นทางคาร์บอนต่ำของตนให้เป็นต้นแบบที่แบ่งปันได้
มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม (SPU) ขับเคลื่อนแผนปฏิบัติการด้านการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ (Climate Action Plan) ควบคู่กับการแบ่งปันความรู้และแนวปฏิบัติแก่หน่วยงานรัฐ ภาคอุตสาหกรรม และชุมชน ตลอดปีการศึกษา 2568
ที่มาและนโยบาย: แผนของ SPU เป็นกรอบการวัด วางแผน และลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจก ภายใต้ประกาศนโยบายการอนุรักษ์พลังงานและสิ่งแวดล้อม และเส้นทางสู่ความเป็นกลางทางคาร์บอนครอบคลุม Scope 1 และ 2 แผนมีห้ามาตรการหลัก:
- พลังงานหมุนเวียนและพลังงานสะอาด
- อาคารใหม่และอาคารปรับปรุงที่ประหยัดพลังงาน
- ลดการพึ่งพาถ่านหินและน้ำมัน
- ลดขยะ
- เพิ่มพื้นที่สีเขียว
ปี 2569 มหาวิทยาลัยยกระดับการกำกับดูแล โดยแต่งตั้งคณะกรรมการจัดการพลังงาน สิ่งแวดล้อม และก๊าซเรือนกระจก มีรองอธิการบดีเป็นประธาน ทำหน้าที่จัดทำบัญชีก๊าซเรือนกระจก รายงานประจำปี และกำหนดมาตรการลดให้สอดคล้องกับทิศทางของประเทศ
การแบ่งปันสู่ภายนอก:
- ภาครัฐ: ร่วมกับกระทรวงการอุดมศึกษาฯ (อว.) เปิดโครงการ ECOLIFE in U ในงาน Freshy Day 2026 ให้นักศึกษาบันทึกพฤติกรรมคาร์บอนต่ำเป็นข้อมูลประกอบการคำนวณก๊าซเรือนกระจกของมหาวิทยาลัย
- เวทีนโยบาย: คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ร่วมเวที SDSN Thailand Public Forum 2025 ณ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ และงาน Energy Symposium 2025 มหาวิทยาลัยยังแลกเปลี่ยนแนวปฏิบัติในการประชุมเครือข่ายมหาวิทยาลัยยั่งยืนแห่งประเทศไทย (SUN Thailand)
- เวทีนานาชาติ: นักศึกษาธุรกิจระหว่างประเทศร่วมการประชุม UN ESCAP หัวข้อ Climate Change and SDG Synergy และเวทีเสวนาด้านการขนส่งคาร์บอนต่ำ ณ ศูนย์การประชุมสหประชาชาติ
- ภาคอุตสาหกรรม: ผู้เชี่ยวชาญของ SPU อบรมกลยุทธ์อนุรักษ์พลังงานให้วิศวกรโรงงาน และแพลตฟอร์ม TIE-CON AIoT ของคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ช่วยพิสูจน์ผลการประหยัดพลังงานสู่ Net Zero

การแบ่งปันแผนช่วยขยายผลกระทบ
ผลลัพธ์และก้าวต่อไป: ภาครัฐได้ต้นแบบจากมหาวิทยาลัย ภาคอุตสาหกรรมได้เครื่องมือลดการปล่อยก๊าซ และชุมชนชายฝั่งได้แนวป้องกันตามธรรมชาติ สอดรับกับแผนพัฒนาความเป็นเลิศมหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม พ.ศ. 2569–2573 (Alpha Ready) ที่มุ่งสร้างบัณฑิตพร้อมสำหรับเศรษฐกิจคาร์บอนต่ำ ก้าวต่อไป SPU จะเผยแพร่ข้อมูลก๊าซเรือนกระจกอย่างสม่ำเสมอ และขยายความร่วมมือกับองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นรอบวิทยาเขต
สำหรับศรีปทุม การรับมือการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศไม่ใช่เอกสารบนชั้นวาง แต่เป็นแผนที่วัดผล ปรับปรุง และแบ่งปัน เพื่อให้ภาคีและชุมชนก้าวสู่อนาคตคาร์บอนต่ำไปด้วยกัน
