Sustainable procurement at Sripatum University (SPU) does not stop at the campus gate. The goods SPU buys and the contractors it hires are expected to cut waste at source too.
Sripatum University’s commitment to responsible consumption and production starts with what it buys. The announcement on Sustainable Resource Procurement and Waste Management, issued on 9 September 2023, directs the university to source food and materials from producers that meet recognised standards and respect the environment. It gives priority to reusable, biodegradable and internationally certified materials, and carries its plastic reduction and disposable-item minimisation rules into everyday purchasing. For construction, the Energy Conservation and Environment Policy requires new builds and renovations to be energy efficient and to use low-carbon materials.
These standards shape SPU’s work with outside partners. Major campus works under the Office of Building and Facilities, carried out by external contractors, included renovation of office floors, replacement of air-conditioning systems that had run for more than two decades, and a campus-wide lift modernisation programme. New furniture and laboratory equipment for refurbished meeting rooms and the flight simulator lab also came from outside suppliers. Equipment, stationery and building suppliers thereby become part of a green supply chain that values circular economy thinking, less packaging and longer-lasting assets. This approach supports the SMART Operation-Ready dimension of SPU’s Alpha Ready Roadmap, which aims for efficient, accountable and sustainable university operations.
Every purchase and every building project moves the campus closer to a circular, low-waste future.
The next step is to make these expectations even clearer to every supplier, through environmental criteria in purchasing and contract documents and a stronger role for the procurement team in the university’s energy and environment committee.
By sharing its waste minimisation standards with suppliers and contractors, SPU turns sustainable procurement into a collective effort, so that every purchase and every building project moves the campus closer to a circular, low-waste future.

การจัดซื้ออย่างยั่งยืนของมหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุมไม่ได้หยุดอยู่แค่ในรั้วมหาวิทยาลัย แต่ขยายไปถึงสินค้าที่ซื้อและผู้รับเหมาที่ว่าจ้าง
มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม (SPU) นำหลักการลดของเสียตั้งแต่ต้นทางไปใช้กับผู้จัดหาอุปกรณ์ เครื่องเขียน และงานก่อสร้าง ผ่านนโยบายการจัดหาทรัพยากรและนโยบายอนุรักษ์พลังงานและสิ่งแวดล้อม
ความรับผิดชอบด้านการบริโภคและการผลิตของมหาวิทยาลัยเริ่มจากสิ่งที่จัดซื้อ ประกาศนโยบายการจัดหาทรัพยากรและการจัดการขยะอย่างยั่งยืน ลงวันที่ 9 กันยายน 2566 กำหนดให้จัดหาอาหารและวัสดุจากแหล่งผลิตที่มีมาตรฐานและคำนึงถึงสิ่งแวดล้อม ให้ความสำคัญกับวัสดุที่นำกลับมาใช้ใหม่ได้ ย่อยสลายได้ และได้รับการรับรองตามมาตรฐานสากล และนำหลักการลดพลาสติกและวัสดุสิ้นเปลืองมาใช้ในการจัดซื้อประจำวัน
ด้านงานก่อสร้าง นโยบายการอนุรักษ์พลังงานและสิ่งแวดล้อม (ปก.มศป.100/2565) กำหนดให้การสร้างอาคารใหม่และการปรับปรุงอาคารต้องประหยัดพลังงานและใช้วัสดุคาร์บอนต่ำ
งานสำคัญที่ดำเนินการโดยผู้รับเหมาภายนอกภายใต้การกำกับของสำนักงานอาคารสถานที่ ได้แก่ การปรับปรุงพื้นที่สำนักงาน การเปลี่ยนระบบปรับอากาศที่ใช้งานมานานกว่า 20 ปี และการปรับปรุงลิฟต์โดยสารหลายอาคาร นอกจากนี้ยังมีครุภัณฑ์และอุปกรณ์สำหรับห้องประชุมที่ปรับปรุงใหม่และห้องปฏิบัติการ Flight Simulator ซึ่งจัดหาจากผู้จัดหาภายนอก ผู้จัดหาจึงเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของห่วงโซ่อุปทานสีเขียวที่เน้นเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียน ลดบรรจุภัณฑ์ และยืดอายุการใช้งานทรัพย์สิน แนวทางนี้สอดคล้องกับมิติ SMART Operation-Ready ของแผน Alpha Ready Roadmap
ทุกการจัดซื้อและทุกโครงการก่อสร้างพามหาวิทยาลัยเข้าใกล้วิทยาเขตขยะน้อยและหมุนเวียนทรัพยากรมากขึ้น
ก้าวต่อไป มหาวิทยาลัยจะสื่อสารความคาดหวังนี้ให้ผู้จัดหาทุกรายชัดเจนยิ่งขึ้น ผ่านเกณฑ์ด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมในเอกสารจัดซื้อและสัญญา และบทบาทของฝ่ายพัสดุในคณะกรรมการจัดการพลังงานและสิ่งแวดล้อม
การแบ่งปันมาตรฐานการลดของเสียกับผู้จัดหาและผู้รับเหมา ทำให้การจัดซื้ออย่างยั่งยืนเป็นภารกิจร่วม ทุกการจัดซื้อและทุกโครงการก่อสร้างจึงพามหาวิทยาลัยเข้าใกล้วิทยาเขตขยะน้อยและหมุนเวียนทรัพยากรมากขึ้น
