Sripatum University brings its planning, engineering and management expertise to provinces, municipalities and public housing agencies, helping communities grow in ways that keep homes within reach.
Good cities are planned together. Sripatum University (SPU) sees its role as a knowledge partner to the authorities that shape where and how people live. Guided by its academic service framework and the Alpha Ready Roadmap’s commitment to societal impact, SPU works alongside provincial agencies, local administrations and public housing bodies on practical planning questions, from climate-resilient town planning to understanding what low- and middle-income households need from their homes.
During 2025–2026 this collaboration took several forms. On World Town Planning Day 2025, SPU engineering faculty were invited to speak at provincial town planning forums in Ratchaburi and Samut Songkhram, sharing nature-based solutions and urban planning innovation for climate adaptation with local officials and practitioners. SPU’s Graduate College of Management carried out a resident needs and satisfaction assessment for the National Housing Authority, covering current, past and prospective residents of low-rise and high-rise projects to inform the agency’s housing strategy. In Chonburi, SPU faculty strengthened the coordination skills of tourism and sports volunteers in a provincial programme supporting the city’s sustainable development. In Bangkok, engineering and IT students listened to residents of the Bang Bua community and co-designed safer, more accessible walkways. SPU also continues its barrier-free housing work with district partners in Bang Khen.
The outcome is planning that is better informed and more inclusive. Local authorities gain evidence and fresh ideas, housing agencies hear residents’ voices more clearly, and SPU students learn how to turn professional skills into public value. These partnerships reflect a good practice SPU intends to deepen: bringing university research and service into local planning so that growth, resilience and affordable housing move forward together.

SPU will keep working shoulder to shoulder with local authorities and housing agencies, because a sustainable city is one where everyone can afford a safe place to call home.

เมืองที่ดีต้องวางแผนร่วมกัน มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม (SPU) จึงวางบทบาทเป็นภาคีองค์ความรู้ให้หน่วยงานที่ดูแลการพัฒนาเมืองและที่อยู่อาศัย ภายใต้หลักเกณฑ์การบริการวิชาการของมหาวิทยาลัยและยุทธศาสตร์ Alpha Ready Roadmap ที่มุ่งสร้างคุณค่าแก่สังคม SPU ทำงานร่วมกับหน่วยงานระดับจังหวัด หน่วยงานท้องถิ่น และหน่วยงานที่อยู่อาศัยของรัฐ ในโจทย์การวางผังเมืองที่ปรับตัวต่อสภาพภูมิอากาศ ไปจนถึงการทำความเข้าใจความต้องการที่อยู่อาศัยของครัวเรือนรายได้น้อยและปานกลาง
ในวันผังเมืองโลก 2568 คณาจารย์คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ได้รับเชิญเป็นวิทยากรในเวทีสัมมนาผังเมืองระดับจังหวัดที่ราชบุรีและสมุทรสงคราม ถ่ายทอดแนวคิด Nature-based Solutions และนวัตกรรมผังเมืองเพื่อรับมือการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศแก่เจ้าหน้าที่และผู้ปฏิบัติงานในพื้นที่
วิทยาลัยบัณฑิตศึกษาด้านการจัดการดำเนินโครงการประเมินความต้องการ ความคาดหวัง และความพึงพอใจของผู้อยู่อาศัยให้การเคหะแห่งชาติ ครอบคลุมทั้งโครงการแนวราบและแนวสูง เพื่อใช้ทบทวนยุทธศาสตร์ที่อยู่อาศัยขององค์กร
ที่ชลบุรี คณาจารย์ร่วมพัฒนาทักษะการสื่อสารและการประสานงานของอาสาสมัครท่องเที่ยวและกีฬาในโครงการระดับจังหวัด ส่วนที่กรุงเทพฯ นักศึกษาวิศวะ-ไอทีลงพื้นที่ชุมชนบางบัวเชิงสะพานไม้ 1 รับฟังเสียงชาวบ้านและร่วมออกแบบทางเดินเท้าที่ปลอดภัยและเข้าถึงได้ และมหาวิทยาลัยยังสานต่องานพัฒนาที่อยู่อาศัยไร้อุปสรรคร่วมกับภาคีในเขตบางเขน
เมืองที่ดีต้องวางแผนร่วมกัน
ผลลัพธ์คือการวางแผนที่มีข้อมูลรองรับและเปิดให้ทุกฝ่ายมีส่วนร่วมมากขึ้น หน่วยงานท้องถิ่นได้แนวคิดและหลักฐานใหม่ หน่วยงานที่อยู่อาศัยได้ยินเสียงผู้อยู่อาศัยชัดเจนขึ้น และนักศึกษาได้เรียนรู้การใช้วิชาชีพสร้างประโยชน์สาธารณะ SPU จะต่อยอดแนวปฏิบัตินี้ต่อไป เพื่อให้การเติบโตของเมือง ความยืดหยุ่นต่อภูมิอากาศ และที่อยู่อาศัยที่เข้าถึงได้ ก้าวไปพร้อมกัน
