For many students, the real cost of university goes beyond tuition to a safe room they can afford near campus. Sripatum University (SPU) treats housing affordability as part of access to education. Vetted White Dormitories, special welfare rates near campus and help with living costs mean students can focus on learning, not rent.
SPU’s Student Development and Community Relations Center vets dormitories around the Bang Khen campus through the White Dormitory Network. Each dormitory is checked on site for CCTV, fire safety, hygiene, wellbeing and a drug-free environment. The vetted list, with rents, contacts and BTS access, is published on the university’s dormitory pages so students and families can compare options openly.
In June 2026 the centre took this a step further with Home@SPU. SPU worked with off-campus housing operators within walking distance of the university to certify safety and hygiene and to set special welfare rates for students. Several partners are women-only, which gives female students a safer option. Home@SPU also builds a living-learning community, with co-learning spaces, fast internet and social events, so students can connect beyond the classroom. International students receive accommodation guidance from the Office of International Relations.
On the financial side, the Scholarship Office helps Student Loan Fund borrowers receive living allowances that go toward rent; in June 2026 it brought Krungthai Bank onto campus so new borrowers could open the required account in one visit. SPU is also working with operators on rent relief and deposit instalments for students from low-income families.
A good education starts with a secure place to live.
These measures lower monthly living and commuting costs, reduce housing-related stress and help first-generation and lower-income students stay enrolled. The work supports inclusive, sustainable cities and links to poverty reduction and quality education. It also reflects SPU’s Excellence Development Plan 2026–2030 (Alpha Ready Roadmap), which aims to give every learner a fair chance to grow. Next, SPU plans to launch a “Dorm Finder” platform and widen the partner network.
At SPU, a good education starts with a secure place to live. By keeping student housing safe, transparent and within reach, the university helps more young people finish their studies and build their futures.

ศูนย์กิจกรรมพัฒนานักศึกษาและชุมชนสัมพันธ์คัดกรองหอพักรอบวิทยาเขตบางเขนผ่านเครือข่าย “หอพักสีขาว” แต่ละแห่งได้รับการตรวจพื้นที่จริงทั้งกล้องวงจรปิด ระบบป้องกันอัคคีภัย สุขอนามัย สุขภาวะ และการปลอดยาเสพติด รายชื่อหอพักที่ผ่านการคัดกรองเผยแพร่บนหน้าเว็บหอพักของมหาวิทยาลัย พร้อมค่าเช่า เบอร์ติดต่อ และการเดินทางด้วย BTS ให้นักศึกษาและผู้ปกครองเปรียบเทียบได้อย่างโปร่งใส
เดือนมิถุนายน 2569 ศูนย์ฯ ต่อยอดเป็นโครงการ Home@SPU โดยร่วมกับผู้ประกอบการหอพักที่เดินถึงมหาวิทยาลัยได้ รับรองมาตรฐานความปลอดภัยและสุขอนามัย และกำหนด “ราคาสวัสดิการพิเศษ” สำหรับนักศึกษา หอพักพันธมิตรหลายแห่งเป็นหอหญิงล้วน จึงเป็นทางเลือกที่ปลอดภัยสำหรับนักศึกษาหญิง โครงการยังสร้างชุมชนการเรียนรู้ในที่พัก มีพื้นที่เรียนร่วม อินเทอร์เน็ตความเร็วสูง และกิจกรรมสร้างความสัมพันธ์ ส่วนนักศึกษาต่างชาติได้รับคำแนะนำเรื่องที่พักจากสำนักงานวิเทศสัมพันธ์
ด้านการเงิน สำนักงานทุนการศึกษาดูแลผู้กู้ กยศ. ให้ได้รับค่าครองชีพซึ่งนำไปใช้เป็นค่าที่พักได้ เดือนมิถุนายน 2569 ได้เชิญธนาคารกรุงไทยมาให้บริการในมหาวิทยาลัย ผู้กู้รายใหม่จึงเปิดบัญชีที่จำเป็นได้ในครั้งเดียว นอกจากนี้มหาวิทยาลัยกำลังร่วมกับผู้ประกอบการจัดมาตรการลดค่าเช่าและผ่อนชำระเงินประกันให้นักศึกษาจากครอบครัวรายได้น้อย
การศึกษาที่ดีเริ่มจากที่พักที่มั่นคง
ผลที่เกิดขึ้นคือค่าที่พักและค่าเดินทางรายเดือนลดลง ความกังวลเรื่องที่พักน้อยลง และนักศึกษารุ่นแรกของครอบครัวกับนักศึกษารายได้น้อยเรียนต่อได้ต่อเนื่อง งานนี้สนับสนุนเมืองที่ยั่งยืนและทั่วถึง เชื่อมโยงกับการลดความยากจนและการศึกษาที่มีคุณภาพ และสอดคล้องกับแผนพัฒนาความเป็นเลิศมหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม พ.ศ. 2569–2573 (Alpha Ready Roadmap) ก้าวต่อไป มหาวิทยาลัยเตรียมเปิดแพลตฟอร์ม “Dorm Finder” และขยายเครือข่ายหอพักพันธมิตร
