Subject: Life-Saving Drops of Hope: Sripatum University Unites Volunteer Power for Sustainable Community Health
Headline: Transforming generosity into action: Sripatum University joins hands with the Student Financial Aid Office and the Thai Red Cross Society to enhance community health and student volunteerism
True giving is the foundation of a healthier, more compassionate society. On June 16–17, 2026, from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM at Sripatum University, the Student Affairs Group and the Student Financial Aid Office joined forces to host the Annual Blood Donation Activity 2026. Over the course of two days, university staff and students came together to donate blood and build critical reserves for the Thai Red Cross Society and local hospitals to save lives in emergency situations.
This collective effort directly supports public healthcare frameworks, aligning with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through sub-goal SDG 3.3 (Collaborations and health services) and sub-of-sub-goal SDG 3.3.2 (Health outreach programmes) by delivering structured health promotion initiatives in active partnership with external health organizations.
Simultaneously, the event highlighted the dedicated spirit of Student Loan Fund (SLF) recipients, who stepped forward as volunteers across all two days. These students managed donor registration, assisted with health screening, welcomed participants, and distributed post-donation refreshments. This holistic engagement embodies SDG 1 (No Poverty) under sub-goal SDG 1.3 (University anti-poverty programmes) and sub-of-sub-goal SDG 1.3.4 (Bottom financial quintile student support programmes), which focuses on providing comprehensive support and civic engagement opportunities for financially assisted students.
Furthermore, this multi-sectoral collaboration between SPU and the Thai Red Cross Society exemplifies SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), specifically sub-goal SDG 17.2 (Relationships to support the goals) and sub-of-sub-goal SDG 17.2.5 (Collaboration with NGOs for SDGs), demonstrating how higher education institutions and civil society organizations can co-create lasting social value.
Sripatum University remains dedicated to fostering well-rounded graduates who combine professional knowledge with a deep commitment to public service and sustainable community well-being.
