Subject: Unlocking Opportunities: Sripatum University Partners with the Student Loan Fund to Elevate Sustainable Student Support
Headline: Empowering futures through financial accessibility: Sripatum University and the Student Loan Fund join forces to streamline support and nurture financial discipline for all students
True educational equity begins with accessible opportunities. On September 4–5, 2025, Sripatum University welcomed representatives from the Student Loan Fund (SLF) for an on-site visit and strategic consultation at Sripatum University. SPU’s Director of the Scholarship Office, Assistant Director, and Head of Student Loans met directly with SLF delegates to engage with loan-recipient students, listen to their feedback, and assess their academic progress and well-being.
This visit focused on providing personalized financial planning advice, fostering financial discipline, and encouraging community service before graduation. These actions directly advance SDG 1: No Poverty, specifically SDG 1.2 Proportion of students receiving financial aid to attend university because of poverty, through SDG 1.2.1 Low income students receiving financial aid data tracking by systematically monitoring beneficiary metrics. Furthermore, it implements SDG 1.3 University anti-poverty programmes and SDG 1.3.4 Bottom financial quintile student support programmes by delivering targeted assistance to financially vulnerable students.
Additionally, executive discussions focused on optimizing document verification and accelerating loan approval workflows. This collaborative effort aligns with SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, particularly SDG 10.6 Measures against discrimination and SDG 10.6.6 Support for underrepresented groups, ensuring that financial constraints never stand in the way of academic ambition.
This strong institutional partnership exemplifies SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, specifically SDG 17.2 Relationships to support the goals and SDG 17.2.1 Relationships with regional NGOs and government for SDG policy, by aligning higher education operations with government policy.
Sripatum University remains steadfast in its mission to eliminate educational barriers and cultivate an inclusive, sustainable future for every student.
