Sripatum University (SPU) is taking decisive action to measure, manage, and minimize waste through a transparent, university-wide tracking system that supports a circular and environmentally responsible campus.
Through the Office of Building and Facilities, SPU monitors waste generation across all campus areas, ensuring accurate data collection on food waste, recyclables, and landfill disposal each month. The university records over 800 liters of food waste and 8 tons of recyclables monthly, using this data to identify reduction opportunities and improve recycling efficiency.
All results are made public through SPU’s SDGs web portal, reflecting the university’s commitment to transparency and continuous improvement. The tracking system supports evidence-based decision-making for procurement, operations, and sustainability initiatives.
Complementing this, SPU’s academic and community activities, such as the “Little Heroes: Sorting and Saving the Planet” project by the Business School, educate youth on waste reduction and responsible consumption, reinforcing SPU’s leadership in sustainable action.
By integrating waste tracking with education and community engagement, SPU sets a strong example of how data-driven environmental management and social learning can work together to build a circular, sustainable future.

มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม (SPU) ดำเนินการติดตามและจัดการปริมาณขยะอย่างเป็นระบบทั่วทั้งมหาวิทยาลัย เพื่อสนับสนุนการสร้างมหาวิทยาลัยที่มีความรับผิดชอบต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมและเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียนอย่างแท้จริง
สำนักงานอาคารสถานที่ของ SPU ทำหน้าที่ตรวจวัดและติดตามปริมาณขยะที่เกิดขึ้นจากทุกพื้นที่ของมหาวิทยาลัย ทั้งขยะอาหาร ขยะรีไซเคิล และขยะที่ส่งไปกำจัด โดยมีการบันทึกข้อมูลมากกว่า 800 ลิตรของขยะอาหารและกว่า 8 ตันของวัสดุรีไซเคิลในแต่ละเดือน ข้อมูลดังกล่าวเผยแพร่บนเว็บไซต์ SDGs ของมหาวิทยาลัย เพื่อสร้างความโปร่งใสและพัฒนาอย่างต่อเนื่อง ระบบนี้ช่วยให้สามารถวิเคราะห์แนวโน้มของขยะ ค้นหาช่องทางลดปริมาณ และเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการรีไซเคิล
