Sripatum University (SPU) demonstrates environmental leadership through its Plastic Use Reduction Policy, officially implemented and reviewed within 2021–2025 under the Office of Building and Facilities. The policy eliminates single-use plastics from all campus operations, events, and retail activities while encouraging reusable practices through refill stations, personal mugs, and durable containers.
SPU integrates sustainability into everyday campus life by requiring procurement departments to prioritize biodegradable and reusable materials. The university tracks plastic waste and substitutes through the Waste Bank Program, ensuring systematic separation, recycling, and progress reporting.
Educational campaigns, environmental signage, and student-led “bring-your-own” initiatives further embed responsible consumption behavior across the university. มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุมดำเนินการลดการใช้พลาสติกในทุกภาคส่วนของการดำเนินงาน โดยมีการติดตั้งจุดเติมน้ำ ส่งเสริมการใช้แก้วส่วนตัวและภาชนะทนทาน รวมทั้งกำหนดให้หน่วยงานจัดซื้อเลือกใช้วัสดุที่ย่อยสลายได้หรือสามารถนำกลับมาใช้ใหม่ได้ ทั้งนี้ยังมีการติดตามปริมาณพลาสติกและการแยกขยะเพื่อนำไปรีไซเคิลผ่าน “โครงการธนาคารขยะ” อย่างเป็นระบบ
นอกจากนี้ มหาวิทยาลัยยังจัดกิจกรรมรณรงค์ สื่อประชาสัมพันธ์ และโครงการ “Bring Your Own” ที่ขับเคลื่อนโดยนักศึกษาและบุคลากร เพื่อปลูกฝังพฤติกรรมการบริโภคอย่างรับผิดชอบ พร้อมทั้งเผยแพร่นโยบายและหลักฐานสู่สาธารณะอย่างโปร่งใส สะท้อนถึงบทบาทผู้นำของ SPU ในการสร้างมหาวิทยาลัยสีเขียวอย่างแท้จริง
