The Faculty of Digital Media, Graphic Design Program, Sripatum University (SPU), in collaboration with Punch Up, a leading company in Data Visualisation, hosted an engaging workshop titled “DATA VISUALISATION by Punch Up: Telling Stories through Data.” The event took place on October 7 and 14, 2025, at the Auditorium, 9th Floor, Dspace SPU, bringing students and experts together to explore how data can be transformed into creative, impactful visual storytelling.
Throughout the workshop, students learned the fundamentals of Data Storytelling, combining data analysis with creative visualization techniques and AI tools to communicate complex information in simple and captivating ways. The hands-on sessions encouraged participants to “see the story behind the data,” empowering them to merge artistic design with analytical thinking — key skills for the future of Digital Media.

Aligned with SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), the project advances creative education through data-driven design and strengthens partnerships between academia and industry. By enhancing students’ digital literacy and creative problem-solving skills, SPU prepares future-ready graduates to thrive in the data and innovation economy.
This collaboration also contributes to SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by exemplifying effective cooperation between the university and external organizations, fostering knowledge exchange and innovation. Moreover, the emphasis on visual communication supports SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and SDG 13 (Climate Action) by encouraging the use of data to raise public awareness on sustainability and environmental issues.
Through this initiative, SPU reinforces its mission to integrate creativity, technology, and sustainability — empowering students to turn information into insight and insight into action for a smarter and more sustainable world.
