Sripatum University (SPU), through its School of Design and Architecture, contributed to preserving Bangkok’s cultural heritage by participating in the 2023 Bangkok Design Week. Funded by the Creative Economy Agency and SC Asset, SPU’s project in the Wongwian Yai – Talat Phlu area highlighted local traditions, culinary arts, and artisanal crafts. This initiative, led by Assistant Professors Natthawut Kingtragan and Anon Promsiri, aligns with SDG 11.2.6 by preserving intangible cultural heritage and transforming the area into a creative economy zone.
In collaboration with local community members and entrepreneurs, SPU’s involvement in Bangkok Design Week went beyond showcasing. It revitalized the cultural significance of Wongwian Yai – Talat Phlu, embedding local beliefs and traditions in a modern creative economy. By valuing these heritage elements and integrating them into urban revitalization, SPU contributes to both the preservation and the evolution of cultural identity, demonstrating how universities can play a pivotal role in safeguarding and promoting cultural heritage.
Ultimately, SPU’s dedication to cultural heritage aligns with SDG 11.2.6 by ensuring that traditional arts, crafts, and culinary practices remain valued and relevant. This project not only revitalizes a historical area but also strengthens the cultural identity and pride of local communities, creating a sustainable model for heritage preservation.
มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุมสนับสนุนการอนุรักษ์มรดกทางวัฒนธรรมผ่านงาน Bangkok Design Week 2023
มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม (SPU) โดยคณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์และการออกแบบ ได้มีส่วนร่วมในการอนุรักษ์มรดกทางวัฒนธรรมของกรุงเทพฯ ผ่านการเข้าร่วมงาน Bangkok Design Week 2023 โครงการนี้ได้รับการสนับสนุนจากสำนักงานเศรษฐกิจสร้างสรรค์และ SC Asset โดยมุ่งเน้นการเผยแพร่มรดกท้องถิ่นทั้งด้านความเชื่อ อาหาร และงานฝีมือในย่านวงเวียนใหญ่ – ตลาดพลู กิจกรรมนี้ นำโดย ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ณัฐวุฒิ กิ่งตรกานต์ และอาจารย์ อานนท์ พรหมศิริ สอดคล้องกับ SDG 11.2.6 ในการอนุรักษ์มรดกทางวัฒนธรรมที่จับต้องไม่ได้ พร้อมส่งเสริมให้พื้นที่เป็นเขตเศรษฐกิจสร้างสรรค์
SPU ทำงานร่วมกับชุมชนและผู้ประกอบการท้องถิ่นในการเสริมสร้างคุณค่าทางวัฒนธรรมของพื้นที่วงเวียนใหญ่ – ตลาดพลู โดยไม่เพียงแค่การจัดแสดง แต่ยังเป็นการฟื้นฟูความหมายทางวัฒนธรรมในยุคปัจจุบัน ทำให้ความเชื่อและขนบธรรมเนียมดั้งเดิมกลายเป็นส่วนสำคัญของเศรษฐกิจสร้างสรรค์ในพื้นที่ SPU จึงเป็นตัวอย่างของสถาบันการศึกษาที่มีบทบาทสำคัญในการอนุรักษ์และส่งเสริมมรดกทางวัฒนธรรม
ความมุ่งมั่นของ SPU ในการรักษามรดกทางวัฒนธรรมสอดคล้องกับ SDG 11.2.6 ทำให้ศิลปะ หัตถกรรม และประเพณีการทำอาหารยังคงมีคุณค่าและเข้าถึงได้ในยุคปัจจุบัน โครงการนี้นอกจากจะฟื้นฟูพื้นที่ประวัติศาสตร์ ยังสร้างความภาคภูมิใจและเสริมสร้างอัตลักษณ์ทางวัฒนธรรมให้แก่ชุมชนท้องถิ่นอย่างยั่งยืน
