National roadmaps, provincial strategy, ASEAN policy dialogue and UN-level reviews: SPU experts help decide how Thailand and the region move forward on the SDGs.

The SDGs are achieved through policy, and policy is stronger when universities bring evidence to the table. Under its Excellence Development Plan 2026–2030 (Alpha Ready Reinventing Roadmap), which aims for SPU staff to act as knowledge partners and take leading roles in external organisations, Sripatum University (SPU) worked at national level in the 2025/26 academic year. On 26 November 2025, SPU’s Faculty of Digital Media joined the Department of Intellectual Property, TCAP and the Thai SME Confederation to frame systemic problems and develop Thailand’s national Creative IP Roadmap. In June 2026, SPU Chonburi helped the Chonburi Provincial Education Office review its Education Development Plan 2026–2027 and set five strategic issues, including Learning City & Sustainability. SPU experts also serve as an expert committee member of the Digital Government Development Agency and as chair of a sub-committee that held a technical hearing on draft construction management guidelines at the Engineering Institute of Thailand.
SPU carried this work to regional and international platforms. Representing the ASEAN University Network (AUN), Dr. Vorasuang Duangchinda joined the Global University Association Forum and the Tech4Ed conference in New Delhi. There she advanced an ASEAN–India framework for human-centric AI, regional digital standards and a regular policy-dialogue mechanism to widen inclusive, technology-enabled higher education. At the ASAIHL 2025 conference in Ho Chi Minh City, SPU presented the Thailand Country Report on Cooperative and Work-Integrated Education, reporting national progress to Southeast Asian peers. SPU represented the Sustainable University Network of Thailand (SUN Thailand) at UN Thailand’s country-level dialogue on implementing the Pact for the Future. It also joined the SDSN Thailand Public Forum 2025, which reviewed ten years of the SDGs and set new directions.
SPU helps identify problems, design strategies and standards, report progress, and feed lessons back into the next round of decisions.
Together, these roles span the full policy cycle. SPU helps identify problems, design strategies and standards, report progress, and feed lessons back into the next round of decisions. The impact is policy built on evidence and shared regional experience, so that national plans and ASEAN cooperation serve learners, workers, industry and the environment.
From national roadmaps to ASEAN and UN dialogue, Sripatum University treats partnership as the engine of the SDGs, and it will keep bringing knowledge and the voices of its students and communities to the tables where sustainable development is decided.
