From the university’s sacred shrines to film festivals, festivals of culture and student exhibitions, Sripatum University invites everyone in to learn, create and celebrate together.

A campus means most when it is shared. Guided by its Policy on Promoting Local and National Arts and Culture, Sripatum University (SPU) provides free public access to all of its significant buildings and to places of cultural significance on campus. These range from the university’s Buddha image and the Vishnukarma shrine, honoured each year at the founding anniversary and in the traditional craftsmen’s teacher-respect ceremony, to its theatre, exhibition halls and green grounds. Schools, community groups, partner agencies, alumni and members of the public can visit without charge or request a venue through a published procedure.
The 2025–2026 year showed how often outsiders walk through these doors:
- Chinese New Year festival: pupils from schools across the country joined lion dances and cultural performances.
- SPULAW Open House: students and interested members of the public filled the exhibition hall.
- Creative Event Premiere Showcase: high-school visitors from around the country experienced a full live production.
- Design exhibitions: visitors browsed the Graphic Bar thesis exhibition, and the Galaxion interactive design show welcomed the public free of charge.
- “Chai Raek” film festival: the public filled the theatre for free screenings.
- Campus visits and community meetings: local schools explored the campus, and the community police committee and local leaders met there.
The impact is a living campus where heritage and creativity are shared, not shut away. Young people discover their futures, neighbours experience culture first-hand, and Thai traditions are passed on in spaces that belong to everyone. This openness reflects SPU’s Alpha Ready Roadmap, which sees the university as a platform linking education, industry and society. Next, SPU will publish one public guide to its open venues and visiting arrangements.
At Sripatum University, culture grows when doors stay open.
