Start-ups with clean-energy ideas often have strong technology but limited capital, mentors and routes to market. Sripatum University (SPU) closes that gap: award-winning energy technology, international hackathons and hands-on incubation help new ventures build a low-carbon economy.
Under its Alpha Ready Reinventing Roadmap, SPU positions itself as an “Incubation University”. The School of Entrepreneurship, recognised by the National Innovation Agency (NIA) as an innovator-creation centre, incubates ventures from idea to launch and guides founders to non-dilutive funding. The Faculty of Engineering and the Research Office coach research-based clean-tech teams on intellectual property, pitching and commercialisation.
The results showed clearly in 2025/26. TIE Smart Solution, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Denchai Woradechjamroen, Assistant Dean for Research at the Faculty of Engineering, developed CPMS, an AIoT chiller-plant management system that uses real-time data to cut energy use and carbon emissions in large buildings and factories. It won first prize at the National Innovation Award 2025 (NIA) and first place at the Lab to Launch Innovation Funding Pitch, Thailand Talent Summit 2025.
SPU also opens its innovation platforms to outside partners. The School of Entrepreneurship co-hosted the Co-Create Sustainability Hack 2025 with Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore, where mixed Thai–Singaporean teams built circular-economy and environmental-health ventures with EY Thailand workshops, a UN expert keynote and external judges. At TECH IDEA 2026, student ventures pitched to industry advisers from NTT DATA, MFEC, TQM Alpha, and Durian Corp & YAK GREEN. At SPU Chonburi, lecturers mentored the SIMBA SPUC team’s Coco-Sustain zero-waste, fossil-free palm-sugar business to a Silver-Level Award at the Asia Sustainable Campus Network (ASCN).
With the Energy Institute for Industry, SPU trains engineers and entrepreneurs to use AI to cut energy waste, and its energy and sustainability research was exhibited to the public at the 48th APHEIT anniversary. This good practice links university research, entrepreneurship and industry demand into one pipeline for affordable, clean energy and climate action.

SPU will keep expanding its AI-augmented entrepreneurship (AIDE) focus, mentoring networks and funding links so that more low-carbon start-ups can grow from campus to market.

มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม (SPU) ช่วยให้ผู้ประกอบการรายใหม่ด้านพลังงานสะอาด เปลี่ยนเทคโนโลยีและไอเดียให้เป็นธุรกิจที่ลดการปล่อยคาร์บอนได้จริง สตาร์ทอัพพลังงานสะอาดมักมีเทคโนโลยีที่ดี แต่ขาดทุน พี่เลี้ยง และช่องทางสู่ตลาด SPU จึงวางบทบาทเป็น “มหาวิทยาลัยบ่มเพาะ” (Incubation University) ตามแผน Alpha Ready Reinventing Roadmap โดยคณะการสร้างเจ้าของธุรกิจ ซึ่ง NIA รับรองเป็นศูนย์การสร้างนวัตกร บ่มเพาะธุรกิจตั้งแต่ต้นจนจบและนำผู้ประกอบการสู่ทุนแบบไม่เสียหุ้น ขณะที่คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์และสำนักงานวิจัยช่วยด้านทรัพย์สินทางปัญญา การนำเสนอแผนธุรกิจ และการนำผลงานสู่เชิงพาณิชย์
ในปีการศึกษา 2568 บริษัท TIE Smart Solution นำโดย ผศ.ดร.เด่นชัย วรเดชจำเริญ ผู้ช่วยคณบดีฝ่ายวิจัย คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ พัฒนา CPMS ระบบบริหารจัดการระบบทำความเย็นด้วย AIoT ที่วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลแบบเรียลไทม์ เพื่อลดการใช้พลังงานและการปล่อยคาร์บอนของอาคารขนาดใหญ่และโรงงาน ผลงานนี้ได้รับรางวัลชนะเลิศ รางวัลนวัตกรรมแห่งชาติ 2568 จาก NIA และชนะเลิศเวที Lab to Launch Pitch ในงาน Thailand Talent Summit 2025
SPU ยังเปิดเวทีพัฒนานวัตกรรมร่วมกับภายนอก คณะการสร้างเจ้าของธุรกิจร่วมกับ Ngee Ann Polytechnic สิงคโปร์ จัด Co-Create Sustainability Hack 2025 ให้ทีมนักศึกษาไทยและสิงคโปร์พัฒนาธุรกิจด้านเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียนและสุขภาวะสิ่งแวดล้อม โดยมีเวิร์กช็อปจาก EY Thailand ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ UN บรรยายเปิดงาน และกรรมการจากภายนอก ในเวที TECH IDEA 2026 ทีมนักศึกษานำเสนอนวัตกรรมต่อที่ปรึกษาจาก NTT DATA, MFEC, TQM Alpha และ Durian Corp & YAK GREEN ส่วน SPU ชลบุรี อาจารย์เป็นพี่เลี้ยงทีม SIMBA SPUC พัฒนา Coco-Sustain ธุรกิจน้ำตาลมะพร้าวไร้ขยะและไร้ฟอสซิล จนได้รางวัล Silver-Level ในเวที ASCN
