In a collaborative effort, Sripatum University’s Faculties of Design, Architecture, Engineering, and Communication Arts launched a community-based housing development project tailored for people with disabilities in Bang Khen. This initiative promotes accessible housing designs and enhances self-reliance, ultimately improving quality of life for participants. Additionally, the project features public awareness campaigns to foster inclusive societies, while setting a model for participatory development and sustainable living practices.
This project aligns closely with SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by enhancing accessible infrastructure for vulnerable groups and encouraging sustainable urbanization practices. It also supports SDG 4 (Quality Education) through lifelong learning opportunities, as the project doubles as a learning base for SPU students and the local community. SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) is targeted by promoting sustainable building practices that prioritize energy efficiency. Moreover, this initiative advances SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) through technical innovation and research, and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by strengthening community collaboration.
As SPU continues its commitment to inclusive education and sustainable urban solutions, this project not only provides essential housing modifications but also serves as a replicable model for future community-led projects. By actively involving community leaders, families, and stakeholders in the decision-making process, SPU showcases the impactful potential of collaborative development in realizing the Sustainable Development Goals.
ม.ศรีปทุม ริเริ่มโครงการที่อยู่อาศัยเพื่อคนพิการในเขตบางเขน สู่การพัฒนาเมืองที่ยั่งยืน
มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม โดยคณะการออกแบบและสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ และคณะนิเทศศาสตร์ จัดโครงการพัฒนาที่อยู่อาศัยเพื่อคนพิการโดยชุมชนเป็นฐานในเขตบางเขน ซึ่งสนับสนุนการออกแบบที่อยู่อาศัยให้คนพิการเข้าถึงได้และเสริมสร้างความพึ่งพาตนเองในชีวิตประจำวัน นอกจากนี้ ยังมีการสร้างสื่อสาธารณะเพื่อเสริมสร้างความตระหนักรู้และส่งเสริมความเข้าใจในการอยู่ร่วมกัน รวมถึงการสื่อสารกระบวนการที่เป็นต้นแบบในการพัฒนาอย่างมีส่วนร่วมและยั่งยืน
โครงการนี้สอดคล้องกับ SDG 11 (เมืองและชุมชนยั่งยืน) โดยมุ่งเน้นการสร้างโครงสร้างพื้นฐานที่เข้าถึงได้และสนับสนุนการพัฒนาเมืองที่ยั่งยืน ควบคู่กับ SDG 4 (การศึกษาที่มีคุณภาพ) โดยส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิตและเป็นฐานการเรียนรู้ให้กับนักศึกษาและชุมชน SDG 7 (พลังงานสะอาด) โดยการพัฒนาบ้านที่ประหยัดพลังงาน นอกจากนี้ยังสนับสนุน SDG 9 (อุตสาหกรรม นวัตกรรม และโครงสร้างพื้นฐาน) ด้วยการนำเทคโนโลยีมาปรับปรุงที่อยู่อาศัย และสนับสนุน SDG 16 (สังคมสงบสุข) ผ่านการเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือในชุมชน
มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุมยืนหยัดในพันธกิจด้านการศึกษาที่ครอบคลุมและการพัฒนาเมืองที่ยั่งยืน โดยโครงการนี้ไม่เพียงให้ที่อยู่อาศัยที่ปลอดภัยและเข้าถึงได้แก่คนพิการ แต่ยังเป็นแบบอย่างที่สามารถนำไปใช้ในโครงการอื่น ๆ ได้ในอนาคต เป็นการแสดงให้เห็นถึงศักยภาพของการพัฒนาร่วมกันเพื่อความสำเร็จตามเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนอย่างแท้จริง
