SPU Students Transform Thai Culture into Art Toy Innovation

The Faculty of Digital Media, Sripatum University, proudly joined Thai Art Toy Fest: “Eastern Secrets” at Siam Center on July 26–27, 2025, showcasing student-designed art toys, character prototypes, and collectible items that merge Thai culture with modern design and digital creativity. Hosted at Atrium 2, Siam Center, this national-level exhibition featured work under the theme “Eastern Secrets: ตามหา (ความลับ) ภาคตะวันออก”, blending regional heritage with imaginative narratives.

SPU’s student artists developed their work through a systematic design process—from concept and sketching to digital modeling and presentation—rooted in the university’s Creative IP philosophy. By combining traditional storytelling with future-forward creative tools, students were empowered to build original design IPs with the potential to grow into real brands.

This event affirms SPU’s mission to provide hands-on education (4.3.2, 4.3.3), equal access to creative industries (4.4.1, 10.6.1), and support for inclusive entrepreneurship (1.4.1, 5.6.6). Student participation also contributes to sustainable creative production (12.1.3), public cultural engagement (11.2.5, 11.2.6), and the development of Thailand’s innovation economy through IP creation (8.4.1, 9.3.1). Thai Art Toy Fest further embodies cross-sector collaboration, where academia, artists, and the public converge (16.2.4, 17.2.2).

With this initiative, SPU reinforces its role as a leader in nurturing Thailand’s next generation of cultural innovators and design entrepreneurs.
