Sripatum University proudly congratulates Mr. Phuripat Buathon (Bat), a first-year student from the Interactive and Game Design Program (IGD), Faculty of Digital Media, for winning the prestigious Excellence Award in the 3D Digital Game Asset category at the Global Digital Skills Championship 2025 (GDSC 2025). The competition was held from July 7–12, 2025, in Shanghai, China.
This year’s championship featured representatives from six countries: Thailand, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Japan. Among 18 competitors, only six received the Excellence Award, with Bat being the only representative from Thailand to be honored in this elite group—alongside participants from China and Singapore.
The GDSC 2025 was hosted in collaboration with the WorldSkills network, aiming to raise global standards in digital skill training through hands-on competition aligned with real industry benchmarks. At SPU, this achievement underscores the impact of the university’s practice-based education model, particularly the IGD curriculum which is paired with intensive 3D Digital Game Art workshops.
Bat’s success demonstrates the Faculty of Digital Media’s unwavering commitment to international-quality education (4.3.3, 4.4.1), inclusive opportunity (10.6.1), and cutting-edge digital skills development (8.4.1, 9.1.1). Through this global recognition, SPU continues to advance youth empowerment (1.4.1), creative industry innovation, and sustainable digital production practices (12.1.3). The initiative also strengthens SPU’s role in cross-border academic cooperation and skill-building under the SDG framework (16.2.4, 17.2.2).
