Participants speak at the Office of Agricultural Economics focus group on agricultural logisticsSripatum University (SPU) reports its progress on SDG 2 openly every year, because food security only improves when the work can be seen and checked. This report covers the 2025/26 academic year (1 August 2025 – 31 July 2026). Under the Alpha Ready Roadmap, SPU starts from a simple idea: it puts its knowledge of logistics, business, technology and hospitality to work for the people who grow, cook and eat Thailand’s food.

Farmers and food producers. In August 2025, Thailand’s higher education ministry selected SPU’s Smart Farming project with the Maitreejit community enterprise as a national best practice. Five faculties built the project together to raise yields, cut costs and protect the environment. In September 2025, students from five faculties returned to Maitreejit for the “Smart Community Connect” youth volunteer day. They practised household cost accounting, built data dashboards, planned vegetable delivery routes to market, and learned drip irrigation and greenhouse growing. In July 2026, the College of Logistics and Supply Chain went back to plan the next phase with the community. SPU also helped shape national policy. In January 2026, an SPU Chonburi associate dean gave academic input at an Office of Agricultural Economics focus group on Thailand’s agricultural logistics action plan for 2028–2032. A Fundamental Fund grant now supports SPU research on a decision-support system for aromatic-coconut logistics, aimed at steadier incomes for growers. Students also worked with the Department of Internal Trade on online marketing for local farm products under the FARM OUTLET network.

Community food skills, nutrition and access. The Ministry of Higher Education asked SPU to help deliver its “One Village, One Thai Chef” programme. An SPU lecturer trained as an assessor at the National Food Institute. In April 2026 the College of Aviation, Tourism and Hospitality opened a Master Thai Chef Program for community cooks, with hands-on kitchen practice that links Thai food to local jobs and income. On campus, registered dietitians from Bangkok Hospital ran “Hack Your Meal” healthy-menu workshops with students. In June 2026, the Thai Healthy without Belly network, under the Royal College of Physicians of Thailand, coached staff on balanced plates and on cutting sugar, fat and salt. In November 2025, the Office of International Relations gave student food sellers stalls rent-free at the International Food Market, and partners handed out free food. SPUIC students also studied Wolffia, a plant protein, from farm to market. Next year, SPU plans to expand Smart Farming with Maitreejit and keep training community chefs.

SPU puts its knowledge of logistics, business, technology and hospitality to work for the people who grow, cook and eat Thailand’s food.

At Sripatum University, reporting on SDG 2 is a promise kept in public. Each year we show how our knowledge reaches farms, kitchens and dining tables, and where we will do more, so that more people have safe, nutritious and sustainably produced food.
