From Classroom to Creative Economy: 4 SPU Student Projects Advance to DEmark Award 2026 Selection

Sripatum University’s Faculty of Digital Media Demonstrates Real-World Academic Excellence as Student Senior Theses Qualify for the Prestigious DEmark Award 2026

Education extends far beyond classroom walls when student creativity transitions into tangible economic and social value. Sripatum University proudly congratulates four students from the Faculty of Digital Media whose senior thesis projects have successfully advanced to the selection round of the Design Excellence Award (DEmark Award 2026). This accomplishment highlights SPU’s commitment to hands-on learning and professional readiness.

The four qualified thesis projects include:

  1. “Kor Lai” by Pornprom Lamkitja (Computer Animation and Visual Effects Program)

  2. “Jorn Charan” by Pannapat Krairujiraluck (Graphic Design Program)

  3. “Soulcoach.bycal” by Itthipat Thanawinit (Graphic Design Program)

  4. “Rasayan” by Kattiya Chaengsawang (Graphic Design Program)

The DEmark Award recognition proves that student designs can expand beyond academic assignments to become viable commercial products, brands, user experiences, and business solutions. This initiative aligns with SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, specifically under sub-goal SDG 11.2: Support of arts and heritage and sub-sub-goal SDG 11.2.5: Arts and heritage contribution, by fostering artistic innovation and cultural advancement. Additionally, integrating practical industry challenges into degree programs directly supports SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, under sub-goal SDG 8.4: Proportion of students taking work placements and sub-sub-goal SDG 8.4.1: Proportion of students with work placements, equipping students with career-ready competencies for the professional market.

This milestone reflects the dedication of the students, the Graphic Design Program, and thesis advisors who provided close mentorship from initial concept development to national-level execution. The project installations are scheduled for June 7, 2026, with final judging taking place on June 8–9, 2026. We invite everyone to send their encouragement to all four students in the final evaluation round.

Sripatum University remains dedicated to empowering students to turn creative concepts into sustainable, real-world business opportunities.
