Sripatum University reduces water usage and raises awareness through engineering systems, maintenance, and behavioral campaigns — reinforcing SDG 6 and SDG 12 on campus.
Sripatum University (SPU) has taken a proactive role in water sustainability with a comprehensive water-saving policy implemented across its campus. The policy, rooted in operational engineering and behavioral science, aligns with SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation and SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production.
Managed by the Office of Buildings and Facilities, the initiative ensures full control of the water supply, drinking systems, and infrastructure maintenance — including pressure regulation, water tank safety, and pump operation. SPU provides purified RO-filtered drinking water and regularly tests its quality to meet international standards.
Key conservation actions include reduced water pressure in buildings, installation of motion-sensor faucets, and automated sprinkler systems for green spaces. These solutions efficiently cut water waste and reduce dependency on freshwater resources. SPU also reuses water for non-potable purposes and maintains strict maintenance schedules for its entire system.
Beyond technology, the university conducts water-saving education campaigns among students and staff. Cooperation policies are embedded into campus culture, fostering a shared responsibility for conserving this vital resource.

มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม (SPU) เป็นผู้นำในการจัดการน้ำอย่างยั่งยืน ด้วยการออก “นโยบายการประหยัดน้ำ” ครอบคลุมทั้งโครงสร้างพื้นฐานทางวิศวกรรม การควบคุมระบบ และการสร้างจิตสำนึกด้านการใช้น้ำอย่างรู้คุณค่า โดยสอดคล้องกับ SDG 6: น้ำสะอาดและการสุขาภิบาล และ SDG 12: การบริโภคและการผลิตอย่างยั่งยืน
ภายใต้การดูแลของสำนักงานอาคารสถานที่ มหาวิทยาลัยมีระบบควบคุมการใช้น้ำครบวงจร ตั้งแต่ท่อส่ง ปั๊มน้ำ บ่อเก็บน้ำ และระบบจ่ายน้ำดื่ม พร้อมติดตั้งตู้กดน้ำที่ผ่านการกรองด้วยระบบ RO ซึ่งได้รับการตรวจสอบคุณภาพน้ำโดยผู้เชี่ยวชาญอย่างสม่ำเสมอ เพื่อให้ได้คุณภาพตามมาตรฐานสากล
