SPU Secures Sustainable Water Systems: From Tap to Table, Every Drop Matters
Sripatum University (SPU) continues its commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through meticulous campus-wide water management and conservation efforts. As a model for SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, SPU integrates engineering expertise, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability best practices across its infrastructure.
The university maintains an advanced water supply and drinking water system in all buildings, monitored by the Office of Facilities. These include regular pipe inspections, leak detection technologies, water storage backup systems, and RO-filtered drinking stations. All systems undergo routine quality checks and maintenance, directly supporting SDG 6.2.1 and 6.3.1, which promote safe water services and pollution prevention.
SPU also empowers students and staff to participate in sustainable practices. Campaigns encourage reduced bottled water use, opting for clean dispenser stations instead. These behavioral shifts, together with operational controls, support SDG 12.2.1 on responsible resource usage and SDG 6.4.1, which calls for water-use efficiency.
Expert collaboration is key: SPU works with certified engineers and specialists to ensure the campus meets water safety and sustainability standards. มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม (SPU) เดินหน้ายกระดับการจัดการน้ำภายในมหาวิทยาลัย ตามแนวทางของเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน (SDGs) โดยเฉพาะ SDG 6: น้ำสะอาดและการสุขาภิบาล ด้วยการผสานความเชี่ยวชาญทางวิศวกรรมกับความร่วมมือจากทุกภาคส่วนภายในมหาวิทยาลัย
สำนักงานอาคารสถานที่ดูแลระบบน้ำประปาและน้ำดื่มของทุกอาคารอย่างเข้มงวด ตั้งแต่การตรวจสอบท่อรั่วซึม การดูแลบ่อพักน้ำ ไปจนถึงการติดตั้งตู้น้ำดื่มแบบ RO พร้อมระบบกรองคุณภาพสูง โดยมีการตรวจสอบคุณภาพน้ำอย่างสม่ำเสมอ สอดคล้องกับ SDG 6.2.1 และ 6.3.1 ที่เน้นความปลอดภัยและการป้องกันมลพิษทางน้ำ
