Sripatum University has launched a comprehensive program to promote water conservation across its campus, directly supporting Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6) on Clean Water and Sanitation. Through proactive measures like automatic water-saving technologies, reduced water pressure, and awareness campaigns, SPU demonstrates a commitment to sustainable water resource management, aiming to minimize environmental impacts and preserve water for future generations.
SPU’s Office of Facilities leads this initiative, managing water systems throughout the campus with regular inspections, leak prevention measures, and technology to limit unnecessary water use. By installing automatic sensors in faucets and sprinkler systems, the university significantly reduces water waste and ensures efficient water use in public spaces and plant irrigation. In addition, SPU has conducted educational campaigns to raise awareness among students and staff, fostering a culture of environmental stewardship.
Through these measures, Sripatum University not only addresses immediate water conservation needs but also sets a strong foundation for long-term sustainable practices. These actions align closely with SDG 6, supporting the sub-goals of improving water efficiency (6.4), increasing water-use awareness (6.b), and reducing resource depletion. SPU’s initiative exemplifies how academic institutions can lead in environmental sustainability, actively contributing to global SDG targets.

โครงการนี้นำโดยสำนักงานอาคารสถานที่ มหาวิทยาลัยได้บริหารจัดการระบบน้ำทั่วมหาวิทยาลัย ด้วยการตรวจสอบสม่ำเสมอ ป้องกันการรั่วไหล และนำเทคโนโลยีที่ช่วยลดการใช้น้ำที่ไม่จำเป็น โดยการติดตั้งเซ็นเซอร์อัตโนมัติที่ก๊อกน้ำและระบบสปริงเกอร์ต่างๆ มหาวิทยาลัยช่วยลดการสิ้นเปลืองน้ำอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ นอกจากนี้ยังได้จัดกิจกรรมรณรงค์ให้ความรู้แก่บุคลากรและนักศึกษาเพื่อเสริมสร้างจิตสำนึกในการอนุรักษ์น้ำ
