From circular-economy electives to green-building engineering and water-sensitive urban design, Sripatum University gives students dedicated pathways to build the knowledge and skills a sustainable future demands.
Sustainability at Sripatum University (SPU) is part of what students formally study, not only a campus theme. Under its development plan, SPU builds the Sustainable Development Goals and global citizenship into its curriculum structure. “Environmental Awareness” and “SDGs Literacy” are named Alpha Skills for future-ready graduates. Beyond what every student learns, SPU offers catalogued, credit-bearing courses for students who choose to go deeper into sustainability.
In the General Education programme, students can choose electives built around sustainability:
- Circular Economy in the 21st Century, which drew a large cohort in Semester 3/2568
- Life and Energy
- BCG Economy for the 21st Century World
- Man and Environment in a Changing World
- Cultural Ecology
- Sufficiency Economy for Sustainable Development
Students in GE courses USC10967 and USC12067 also visited Sustainability Expo 2025 to see all 17 Goals in practice.
Degree programmes add discipline-specific depth:
- Architecture (ARC363): students in Water, Landscape Architecture and Urban Community Design studied Benchakitti Forest Park, a former factory site that now treats water through wetlands and holds floodwater.
- Interior design (IND354): students in Architectural Structure and Building Systems joined a “Design x Sustainability” session with practitioners from A49.
- Civil Engineering: students train in BIM-based carbon footprint assessment and Thai green building standards.
- Aviation, tourism and service: the College of Aviation, Tourism and Hospitality has revised its curricula around the green economy and the SDGs.
- IT and business: IT students take on real energy-transition challenges with the National Innovation Agency, and International Trade Business students joined a UN conference on climate change and SDG synergy.
These courses give graduates the evidence, empathy and practical tools to cut carbon, design resilient cities and run responsible businesses.
As SPU moves toward its Alpha Ready Roadmap, dedicated sustainability learning will stay central to how the university prepares its students.
At SPU, choosing sustainability is a real academic pathway with credit and a real-world purpose. Each dedicated course reflects the university’s commitment to educating a generation ready to lead the transition to a fairer, low-carbon future.

- เศรษฐกิจ BCG เพื่อโลกในศตวรรษที่ 21
- ชีวิตและสภาพแวดล้อมในโลกแห่งการเปลี่ยนแปลง
- นิเวศวัฒนธรรม
- เศรษฐกิจพอเพียงเพื่อการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน
นักศึกษารายวิชา USC10967/USC12067 ยังได้ศึกษาดูงาน Sustainability Expo 2025 เพื่อเห็นตัวอย่างจริงของ SDGs ทั้ง 17 เป้าหมาย
ในระดับหลักสูตรปริญญา แต่ละสาขามีรายวิชาเฉพาะทาง
- สถาปัตยกรรม (ARC363): นักศึกษาวิชาน้ำ ภูมิสถาปัตยกรรม และการออกแบบชุมชนเมือง ลงพื้นที่สวนป่าเบญจกิติ เรียนรู้ระบบพื้นที่ชุ่มน้ำบำบัดน้ำและแก้มลิงรับน้ำ
- การออกแบบภายใน (IND354): นักศึกษาวิชาโครงสร้างสถาปัตยกรรมและระบบอาคาร เข้าร่วม SoDA Talk “Design x Sustainability” กับผู้เชี่ยวชาญจาก A49
- วิศวกรรมโยธา: ฝึก BIM เพื่อประเมินคาร์บอนฟุตพริ้นท์ และเรียนมาตรฐานอาคารเขียวของไทย
- การบิน การท่องเที่ยวและการบริการ: วิทยาลัยปรับปรุงหลักสูตรให้มีเศรษฐกิจสีเขียวและ SDGs เป็นแกน
- เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศและบริหารธุรกิจ: นักศึกษาเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศรับโจทย์จริงด้านพลังงานร่วมกับสำนักงานนวัตกรรมแห่งชาติ และนักศึกษาธุรกิจระหว่างประเทศร่วมเวทีสหประชาชาติด้านภูมิอากาศและ SDGs
รายวิชาเหล่านี้หล่อหลอมบัณฑิตให้มีทั้งความรู้ ความเข้าใจผู้อื่น และเครื่องมือที่ใช้ได้จริง
ทั้งการลดคาร์บอน การออกแบบเมืองที่ยืดหยุ่น และการทำธุรกิจอย่างรับผิดชอบ ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับแผน Alpha Ready Roadmap ของมหาวิทยาลัย
การเลือกเรียนด้านความยั่งยืนที่ SPU เป็นเส้นทางวิชาการที่มีหน่วยกิตและเป้าหมายที่จับต้องได้ สะท้อนความตั้งใจของมหาวิทยาลัยในการสร้างคนรุ่นใหม่ที่พร้อมนำการเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่สังคมคาร์บอนต่ำ
