From an AI flood platform to provincial planning forums, SPU turns data and expertise into earlier warning and better-prepared government responders.
Climate change is making floods more frequent and harder to predict. Local and regional government needs reliable, timely information to monitor risk and act early. Sripatum University (SPU) sees this as part of its public mission. Under the Alpha Ready Roadmap, the university directs its AI and engineering expertise toward climate disaster risk monitoring, early warning and disaster risk reduction.
During the severe Southern Thailand floods of late 2025, the SPU AI Club at the School of Entrepreneurship built FloodAidSouth. This real-time flood risk monitoring platform maps help requests, locations, urgency levels, evacuation points, safe routes and urgent supplies. SPU supported the Thai PBS coordination centre with the platform, which passed live situation data to local officials and disaster-response agencies so urgent cases could be flagged and reached early. Lecturers and students from several schools also volunteered at the centre, taking emergency calls, recording cases and tracking the situation as it changed. On World Town Planning Day 2025, SPU engineering lecturers were invited speakers at seminars held by the provincial public works and town planning offices in Ratchaburi and Samut Songkhram. There they informed government planners about nature-based solutions and planning innovation for climate change adaptation.
These actions strengthened disaster preparedness where it matters. Local responders received clearer, faster information, and people at risk were reached sooner. Provincial planners gained climate-resilient options for future plans. Students also learned that climate governance and disaster resilience are part of their professional responsibility.
SPU will keep informing and supporting local and regional government as a trusted partner in climate risk monitoring and early warning.

ช่วงอุทกภัยภาคใต้ปลายปี 2568 ชมรม SPU AI Club คณะการสร้างเจ้าของธุรกิจ พัฒนาแพลตฟอร์ม FloodAidSouth เพื่อติดตามสถานการณ์และความเสี่ยงน้ำท่วมแบบเรียลไทม์ ระบบแสดงคำขอความช่วยเหลือ พิกัด ระดับความเร่งด่วน จุดอพยพ เส้นทางปลอดภัย และสิ่งของจำเป็น มหาวิทยาลัยสนับสนุนศูนย์ประสานงานของ Thai PBS ด้วยแพลตฟอร์มนี้ เพื่อส่งต่อข้อมูลสถานการณ์ถึงเจ้าหน้าที่ท้องถิ่นและหน่วยงานรับมือภัยพิบัติ ทำให้แจ้งเตือนและเข้าถึงกรณีเร่งด่วนได้ทันการณ์ คณาจารย์และนักศึกษาจากหลายคณะยังร่วมเป็นจิตอาสาที่ศูนย์ ทำหน้าที่รับสายแจ้งเหตุ บันทึกข้อมูล และติดตามสถานการณ์
ในวันผังเมืองโลก 2568 คณาจารย์คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ได้รับเชิญเป็นวิทยากรในงานสัมมนาของสำนักงานโยธาธิการและผังเมืองจังหวัดราชบุรีและสมุทรสงคราม ให้ข้อมูลแก่ภาครัฐเรื่อง Nature-based Solutions และนวัตกรรมการผังเมืองเพื่อการปรับตัวต่อ Climate Change
SPU พร้อมเป็นพันธมิตรที่เชื่อถือได้ของภาครัฐ ในการติดตามความเสี่ยงและเตือนภัยพิบัติ
ผลลัพธ์คือผู้ปฏิบัติงานในพื้นที่ได้รับข้อมูลชัดเจนและเร็วขึ้น ผู้ที่อยู่ในความเสี่ยงได้รับความช่วยเหลือเร็วขึ้น และนักวางผังเมืองระดับจังหวัดได้แนวทางเมืองที่พร้อมรับมือภูมิอากาศไปใช้ในอนาคต SPU พร้อมเป็นพันธมิตรที่เชื่อถือได้ของภาครัฐ ในการติดตามความเสี่ยงและเตือนภัยพิบัติ เพื่อชุมชนที่เข้มแข็งในโลกที่เปลี่ยนแปลง
