Sripatum University International College (SPUIC), in collaboration with the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa), Siam AI Cloud, Future Food Asia, and industry partners, organised the online webinar “Food as Medicine in the AI Era: From Herbal Wisdom to Healthy Aging & Longevity” to explore the connection between traditional health knowledge, modern technology, and future healthcare innovation.
The webinar focused on the evolving concept of “food as medicine” and how advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) can support a deeper understanding of nutrition, herbal knowledge, and personalised approaches to health and wellbeing. Experts from academic, technology, and healthcare-related fields shared insights into how traditional wisdom can be combined with scientific research and digital innovation to promote healthier lifestyles and long-term wellbeing.
During the session, participants explored important topics including healthy aging, longevity, preventive healthcare, and the role of nutrition in supporting overall health. The discussion highlighted that food is not only a source of energy but can also play an important role in maintaining wellbeing when supported by evidence-based knowledge and responsible health practices.
A key focus of the webinar was the application of AI technology in analysing health-related information and supporting better decision-making. Participants learned how AI can assist researchers and individuals in understanding nutritional data, herbal properties, and lifestyle factors while recognising the importance of using technology responsibly alongside expert knowledge.
The event also included practical learning activities, including an AI Agent workshop, where participants gained experience exploring how AI tools can be used to discover and analyse information related to nutrition, herbs, and personal health management. This hands-on approach encouraged participants to become more familiar with emerging technologies and their potential applications in the healthcare and wellness sectors.
Beyond knowledge sharing, the webinar demonstrated the importance of collaboration between universities, technology organisations, and industry partners in developing innovative solutions for future health challenges. The cooperation between SPUIC, depa, Siam AI Cloud, and Future Food Asia reflects a shared commitment to promoting digital innovation, research-based health practices, and sustainable wellbeing.
The initiative contributes to building awareness of healthy lifestyles, supporting lifelong learning, and preparing society for a future where technology and traditional knowledge can work together to improve quality of life.
Through this meaningful exchange of knowledge, SPUIC continues to support innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration, empowering individuals and communities to better understand the role of nutrition, technology, and responsible health practices in achieving healthy aging and improved wellbeing.
