SPU’s School of Digital Media collaborates with Wacoal Thailand to integrate real-world business challenges into higher education, fostering professional readiness and driving Thailand’s creative economy.
In today’s fast-evolving digital landscape, textbook knowledge alone is no longer enough to secure a solid career start. Sripatum University continues to champion its core philosophy of “Learning from Real Professionals through Real Experiences.” Recently, the School of Digital Media engaged in a strategic dialogue with Thai Wacoal Public Company Limited (Wacoal Thailand), a leading national brand, to establish a robust partnership between academia and industry.
This collaboration marks a key milestone in bridging academic learning with actual commercial challenges in the modern job market. By elevating student outputs to meet professional industry standards, the initiative allows students to gain direct insights and guidance from seasoned experts. This cross-sector alignment actively supports SDG 17 Partnerships for the Goals, specifically Sub-goal 17.2 Relationships to support the goals and Sub-sub-goal 17.2.2 Cross sectoral dialogue about SDGs, by promoting multi-stakeholder dialogue to foster sustainable development.
Furthermore, this partnership provides a foundation for preparing students to transition seamlessly into the professional workforce. By developing practical skillsets tailored to market demands, the project directly promotes SDG 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth through Sub-goal 8.4 Proportion of students taking work placements and Sub-sub-goal 8.4.1 Proportion of students with work placements. This ensures that students are well-equipped for high-quality internship placements and sustainable future employment.
The synergy between SPU’s School of Digital Media and Wacoal Thailand not only inspires students to unlock their creative digital potential, but also serves as a crucial driver in cultivating a future-ready workforce capable of propelling the nation’s creative economy forward sustainably.
