Sripatum University (SPU) has officially declared its commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2045, aligning with Thailand’s national carbon-neutral roadmap. Endorsed by the University’s Energy Management Committee, the policy follows the Greenhouse Gas Protocol standards and covers Scope 1 and 2 emissions, with ongoing expansion to Scope 3.
This milestone commitment is embedded within SPU’s Climate Action framework, ensuring transparency, accountability, and measurable progress. Implementation across campus includes solar rooftop systems, LED lighting conversions, energy-efficient HVAC operations, and sustainable landscape design that enhances natural cooling and biodiversity. Waste reduction and recycling initiatives further strengthen carbon mitigation and promote a circular economy. In addition, carbon capture and offset activities are incorporated into the long-term roadmap to achieve net-zero emissions by 2045.
The Office of Buildings and Facilities continuously monitors energy consumption and emission data to track measurable progress. Each initiative—whether in renewable energy, resource efficiency, or sustainable design—represents SPU’s belief that universities must lead by example in combating climate change and inspiring a culture of sustainability among students and staff.

มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม (SPU) เดินหน้าสู่ภารกิจระดับโลกด้านการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ ด้วยการประกาศเจตนารมณ์ชัดเจนที่จะบรรลุความเป็นกลางทางคาร์บอนภายในปี 2045 เปลี่ยนมหาวิทยาลัยให้เป็นต้นแบบของนวัตกรรมและการจัดการพลังงานอย่างยั่งยืน
มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม (SPU) ประกาศเจตนารมณ์ในการบรรลุความเป็นกลางทางคาร์บอนภายในปี 2045 ตามเป้าหมายของประเทศไทย โดยได้รับการรับรองจากคณะกรรมการจัดการพลังงานของมหาวิทยาลัย นโยบายดังกล่าวสอดคล้องกับมาตรฐาน Greenhouse Gas Protocol ครอบคลุมการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกใน Scope 1 และ 2 และขยายการดำเนินงานสู่ Scope 3 ในอนาคต
คำมั่นสำคัญนี้ถูกรวมเข้าเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของกรอบการดำเนินงานด้าน Climate Action ของมหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม (SPU) เพื่อสร้างความโปร่งใส ความรับผิดชอบ และความก้าวหน้าที่ตรวจวัดได้ การดำเนินงานทั่วทั้งมหาวิทยาลัยครอบคลุมการติดตั้งระบบโซลาร์รูฟบนอาคาร การปรับเปลี่ยนระบบไฟส่องสว่างเป็น LED การใช้ระบบปรับอากาศที่มีประสิทธิภาพสูง และการออกแบบภูมิทัศน์อย่างยั่งยืนเพื่อเพิ่มการระบายความร้อนตามธรรมชาติและส่งเสริมความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพ โครงการลดและรีไซเคิลของเสียยังช่วยเสริมการลดการปล่อยคาร์บอนและสนับสนุนเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียน นอกจากนี้ ยังมีการบูรณาการกิจกรรมดักจับและชดเชยคาร์บอนในแผนปฏิบัติระยะยาว เพื่อมุ่งสู่การปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกสุทธิเป็นศูนย์ภายในปี 2045
สำนักงานอาคารและสถานที่ของ SPU ทำหน้าที่ติดตามและวัดผลการใช้พลังงานและการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกอย่างต่อเนื่อง เพื่อให้มั่นใจได้ว่าการดำเนินงานทุกด้านมีความก้าวหน้าอย่างเป็นรูปธรรมต่อเป้าหมายปี 2045
