Sripatum University maps its full-year water usage to improve conservation, efficiency, and SDG-aligned water management.
Sripatum University (SPU) has revealed detailed analytics of its annual water usage — totaling 89,794 cubic meters in 2024 — as part of a broader plan to drive sustainable water resource management. This effort aligns directly with SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, especially sub-goal 6.2 and 6.2.1, which emphasize effective water monitoring and wastewater systems within institutions.
Water is used across key sectors of the campus including classrooms, cafeterias, gardens, and sanitation facilities. By averaging 246 cubic meters per day, the university identified areas of consumption that are now being targeted for efficiency improvements. These include the installation of automatic faucets, low-flow systems in dormitories, and wastewater reuse for irrigation.
In addition to consumption data, SPU plans to implement real-time monitoring per building and enhance education campaigns to promote behavioral changes. Recycled water systems and green landscaping also support local water circularity, helping mitigate long-term water scarcity and environmental degradation.
This data-backed approach shows how institutional-level tracking leads to actionable change. SPU is not only measuring its footprint — it is actively reducing it, one liter at a time.

มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม (SPU) รายงานข้อมูลปริมาณการใช้น้ำประจำปี 2024 รวม 89,794 ลูกบาศก์เมตร เพื่อใช้เป็นฐานข้อมูลในการวางแผนการบริหารจัดการทรัพยากรน้ำอย่างยั่งยืน โดยสอดคล้องกับ SDG 6: น้ำสะอาดและการสุขาภิบาล โดยเฉพาะเป้าหมายย่อย 6.2 และ 6.2.1 ที่เน้นการติดตามการใช้น้ำและการจัดการน้ำเสียในระดับสถาบัน
