Sripatum University extends its heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Athithep Rongsawat and Ms. Pannaphat Kairujaralak, students from the Graphic Design Program, Faculty of Digital Media (Team Dharatiwa), for securing the First Runner-Up Award along with a cash prize of 50,000 THB at the “Chon Chang Graphic Year 10” competition. The event took place at Bawon Nakorn Building, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, on March 16, 2025.
This competition aimed to promote Area Identity Design for five communities within Nakhon Si Thammarat’s urban district, namely: Smith-Suthi Alley Community, Railway Station Community, Cinema District Community, Wat Wang Tawantok Community, and Wat Burana Ram Community.
The award-winning project, “Banterng Roeng Na Khon”, by Team Dharatiwa, was designed to revitalize the cultural identity of the cinema district—specifically, the historic Bawon Building [formerly known as Inthra Cinema (Surachai Rama)]—and reestablish it as the heart of entertainment in Tha Wang district, Nakhon Si Thammarat.
To develop their concept, the students conducted on-site research, gathering insights into local traditions, arts, and cultural heritage. Their findings were then translated into graphic design works that enhance the city’s visual identity, aligning with the “Creative City” initiative. The project exemplifies the practical application of graphic design knowledge, contributing to both academic excellence and community development.
