Under its development plan, SPU builds the Sustainable Development Goals and global citizenship into its curriculum structure. &#8220;Environmental Awareness&#8221; and &#8220;SDGs Literacy&#8221; are named Alpha Skills for future-ready graduates. Beyond what every student learns, SPU offers catalogued, credit-bearing courses for students who choose to go deeper into sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>In the General Education programme, students can choose electives built around sustainability:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Circular Economy in the 21st Century, which drew a large cohort in Semester 3\/2568<\/li>\n<li>Life and Energy<\/li>\n<li>BCG Economy for the 21st Century World<\/li>\n<li>Man and Environment in a Changing World<\/li>\n<li>Cultural Ecology<\/li>\n<li>Sufficiency Economy for Sustainable Development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students in GE courses USC10967 and USC12067 also visited Sustainability Expo 2025 to see all 17 Goals in practice.<\/p>\n<p>Degree programmes add discipline-specific depth:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Architecture (ARC363):<\/strong> students in Water, Landscape Architecture and Urban Community Design studied Benchakitti Forest Park, a former factory site that now treats water through wetlands and holds floodwater.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Interior design (IND354):<\/strong> students in Architectural Structure and Building Systems joined a &#8220;Design x Sustainability&#8221; session with practitioners from A49.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Civil Engineering:<\/strong> students train in BIM-based carbon footprint assessment and Thai green building standards.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Aviation, tourism and service:<\/strong> the College of Aviation, Tourism and Hospitality has revised its curricula around the green economy and the SDGs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>IT and business:<\/strong> IT students take on real energy-transition challenges with the National Innovation Agency, and International Trade Business students joined a UN conference on climate change and SDG synergy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote style=\"border-left: 6px solid #29ABE2; border-image: linear-gradient(to bottom, #29ABE2, #E6007E) 1; padding: 8px 0 8px 56px; font-size: 28px; line-height: 1.4; margin: 28px 0;\"><p>These courses give graduates the evidence, empathy and practical tools to cut carbon, design resilient cities and run responsible businesses.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>As SPU moves toward its Alpha Ready Roadmap, dedicated sustainability learning will stay central to how the university prepares its students.<\/p>\n<p><strong>At SPU, choosing sustainability is a real academic pathway with credit and a real-world purpose.
