This report covers the 2025\/26 academic year. Under the Alpha Ready Roadmap and the university&#8217;s Energy and Environment Conservation Policy (Announcement 100\/2565), the Office of Buildings and Facilities runs water as a system. Each drop is measured, treated and, wherever possible, used twice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Measuring, treating and protecting water on campus.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Metering:<\/strong> SPU meters all mains water across the whole university and reviews the records to find high-use points and leaks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wastewater treatment:<\/strong> Every building has its own treatment unit. Canteens use grease traps, and aeration and routine testing ensure that treated water meets national discharge standards before it reaches the city drains.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pollution prevention:<\/strong> Hazardous and chemical waste is collected separately, so it cannot enter the water system, even after an accident.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Free drinking water:<\/strong> Students, staff and visitors refill bottles for free at RO-filtered water stations. The water is tested regularly, and the stations cut single-use plastic.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Water-conscious buildings and grounds:<\/strong> Pressure-reducing valves, sensor taps and low-flow fixtures are part of procurement. Automatic sprinklers and drought-tolerant planting keep the green campus alive with less water.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Reuse, awareness and action beyond campus.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Reuse:<\/strong> Under SPU&#8217;s water-reuse and water-saving measures, rainwater is harvested and treated water is reused to irrigate trees and clean outdoor areas, which reduces demand on the city supply.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Awareness on campus:<\/strong> At the Club Fair (30\u201331 October 2025), students joined talks on sustainable resource use and responsible water use.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Engineering for water security:<\/strong> At SPU Giving Day (31 October 2025), the School of Engineering exhibited a BIM-based pipe-joint design that cuts water loss in treatment-plant supply systems, offered as a model for communities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Learning from the city&#8217;s water landscape:<\/strong> In ARC363 <em>Water, Landscape and Urban Design<\/em>, architecture students studied Benjakitti Forest Park&#8217;s wetland and flood-retention design (23 September 2025).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Restoring a watershed:<\/strong> Student leaders from the College of Aviation, Tourism and Hospitality and the Rotaract Club of SPU joined the Royal Thai Army&#8217;s Civil Affairs Department in Lop Buri (28\u201330 January 2026). They built check dams and planted seedlings to restore a headwater forest, putting the King&#8217;s philosophy of water management into practice.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Supporting public sanitation:<\/strong> Engineering staff also worked with industry on sludge-suction vehicles used for public sanitation (from May 2026).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Together, these strands make water care a daily routine rather than a one-off project. Every measure has a responsible office, a regular check and a public record. Next year SPU aims to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>add building-level meters so that savings can be tracked more precisely<\/li>\n<li>widen reuse for irrigation<\/li>\n<li>bring water-loss and check-dam know-how to more communities around its campuses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote style=\"border-left: 6px solid #29ABE2; border-image: linear-gradient(to bottom, #29ABE2, #E6007E) 1; padding: 8px 0 8px 56px; font-size: 28px; line-height: 1.4; margin: 28px 0;\"><p>Every drop measured, every drop respected, and every drop shared with the community.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>At Sripatum University, reporting on SDG 6 is a promise kept in public.
