They state plainly that women and men have equal rights and that no one may be treated unfairly because of sex, gender, age, disability, origin, religion or status. For staff, the policy covers recruitment, appraisal, pay, training and promotion. For students, it covers admission, records, dress according to gender identity and equal monitoring of every student&#8217;s progress to graduation.<\/p>\n<p>In July 2026, the University Council reaffirmed this commitment in the SPU Code of Ethics Regulation. The regulation requires council members, executives, staff and students alike to respect equality and avoid unfair discrimination. It also establishes an Ethics Protection Committee to examine complaints and report to the Council every year.<\/p>\n<p>Students are carrying the principle into the wider community. Film and Digital Media students worked with the Women and Men Progressive Movement Foundation on the &#8220;How to L.O.V.E&#8221; training on recognising the warning signs of relationship violence. Business Administration students at SPU Chonburi won national awards for short videos that campaign against child sexual abuse.<\/p>\n<p>The result is a learning and working environment where women are judged on ability, and where concerns have a clear route to a fair hearing. This supports SPU&#8217;s Alpha Ready Roadmap and its governance goal of transparent, values-driven management. As a next step, SPU will publish an English version of the policies and add explicit guidance on preventing sexual harassment and inappropriate sexual behaviour.<\/p>\n<blockquote style=\"border-left:
