It is rooted in the university&#8217;s Energy and Environmental Conservation Policy and a carbon-neutral pathway for Scopes 1 and 2. The plan has five practical levers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>renewable and clean energy<\/li>\n<li>energy-efficient new builds and renovations<\/li>\n<li>moving away from coal and oil<\/li>\n<li>waste reduction<\/li>\n<li>more green space<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In 2026 SPU strengthened its climate governance by forming an Energy, Environment and GHG Management Committee, chaired by a Vice President. The app turns students&#8217; everyday low-carbon actions into data for the university&#8217;s GHG accounting.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Policy dialogue:<\/strong> The Faculty of Engineering joined the SDSN Thailand Public Forum 2025 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Energy Symposium 2025 on Thailand&#8217;s energy and climate transition. SPU also exchanged good practice with peer universities at the Sustainable University Network of Thailand (SUN Thailand) annual meeting.<\/li>\n<li><strong>International stage:<\/strong> International Business students joined UN ESCAP&#8217;s &#8220;Climate Change and SDG Synergy&#8221; conference and a roundtable on low-carbon transport at the United Nations Conference Centre.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Industry:<\/strong> SPU energy experts trained industrial engineers on energy-saving strategies to cut emissions. The work reflects SPU&#8217;s commitment to climate action, clean energy and partnerships. It also supports the university&#8217;s 2026\u20132030 Reinventing (Alpha Ready) development plan to produce graduates ready for a low-carbon economy. Next, SPU will publish its GHG reporting regularly and open more joint projects with local authorities around its campuses.<\/p>\n<p><strong>At SPU, climate action is not a document on a shelf.
