Under its Energy and Environmental Conservation Policy, Sripatum University (SPU) prefers renewable energy, above all solar power, to fossil fuels. Its online monitoring platform shows, almost in real time, how much power the panels are producing, how much the building is consuming, how much electricity is being bought from the grid and how much CO2 has been avoided, both for the day and in total. In late 2025 the university added solar-powered lighting along campus walkways and roads, extending clean energy into the spaces students and staff use every day. Every building&#8217;s purchased electricity is also metered and compiled in SPU&#8217;s 2025 Energy Management Report, submitted to the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE).
