The &#8220;Dontri Chao SPU&#8221; music series opened campus courtyards, canteens and activity stages to student and staff musicians in three rounds, from August 2025 to June 2026. University ceremonies also became stages for Thai heritage. At the Songkran celebrations on the Bangkhen and Chonburi campuses, students performed Thai dance, including the cultural set &#8220;Songkran Ban Rao&#8221;, and at the Wai Khru ceremony student dancers led the traditional offering procession.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond campus, SPU performers carried Thai heritage to community and national audiences. They performed folk dance before local residents at the &#8220;Sam Bang Song Fang Khlong&#8221; festival at Wat Si Wari Noi floating market, Samut Prakan, and staged a contemporary performance on salt-farming life, &#8220;Withi Thin Na Kluea Khlong Tamru&#8221;, in Chonburi. At the 24th Higher Education Arts and Culture Festival they performed a folk dance set honouring Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, and at the 48th Higher Education Thai Music Festival they played Thai classical music with the grand ensemble. Students of the Liberal Arts 2+2 programme also presented a Thai cultural performance in Xi&#8217;an, China.<\/p>\n<p>The Faculty of Communication Arts added a wider repertoire: the 9th Performing Arts Thesis Festival, free to the public, the Love &amp; Luck Music Festival, dance concerts and stage plays, and student cover-dance troupes performing at public venues across Bangkok. These performances link heritage education with creative city life. Students gain real-audience experience, local communities see their traditions on stage, and young people meet Thai arts in both traditional and contemporary forms. This supports SPU&#8217;s Alpha Ready Roadmap goal of developing creative, socially engaged graduates, and SDG targets on safeguarding cultural heritage and inclusive public spaces.<\/p>\n<blockquote
