One set of pay rules for every role, an annual gender pay review and a clear promise to fix any unexplained gap. This is how Sripatum University (SPU) makes decent work fair for everyone.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\"SPUFair pay starts with a clear rule. Sripatum University’s Policy on Promoting and Supporting Equality and Equity of Personnel, issued on 8 November 2021 and grounded in Thailand’s Gender Equality Act 2015, states in clause 2 that performance evaluation, salary increases, training and promotion must never depend on sex, age, origin, religion, disability or personal status. In 2025 the Office of Human Resources put this pay equity principle into daily practice through the Criteria and Procedures for Merit Consideration (Announcement 005\/2568). The criteria apply one rulebook to academic staff, support staff and operational workers alike, and every raise follows evaluated performance. Starting salaries are set by position and qualification.<\/p>\n

SPU goes further than treating everyone the same on paper. Under the SPU Pay Equity Statement, the Office of Human Resources measures salaries and annual raises by gender and job level every year. Any gender pay gap that role, qualification or performance cannot explain is reported to university executives, who decide corrective action. A Labour Protection Committee appointed by the University Council, which includes external experts, oversees fair remuneration under Thai labour law. The same spirit runs through staff life: from Songkran celebrations to the 2026 Dr. Sook Pukayaporn Honor Award, women and men from every job category take part and are recognised together.<\/p>\n
