The Code of Ethics Regulation 2026, issued by the University Council on 31 July 2026, requires executives to manage people fairly, prohibits unfair treatment by any staff member, and sets up an Ethics Protection Committee with staff representatives that investigates complaints and reports to the Council every year. The 2023 Sustainable Procurement Policy extends fair and ethical standards to suppliers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Legal compliance.<\/strong> A Labour Protection Committee appointed by the University Council, including external experts, oversees compliance with Thailand&#8217;s Labour Protection Act and the Ministerial Regulation on work protection in private higher education institutions. Every appointment follows a written procedure: applicants present ID cards and meet stated qualifications, a panel interviews them, the President approves the hire, and a formal contract is signed with set working hours, paid leave and social security.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Work culture.<\/strong> Staff take part willingly and proudly in shaping the university. The President opened the 2025 Staff Meeting, &#8220;Navigating Through Transformation: Together to Sustainability&#8221;, on 8 August 2025, and more than 600 academic and support staff joined the Alpha Ready Forum on 8 June 2026. The SPU Healthy Campus sports festival filled the arena with inter-unit teams and cheering squads. The Happy Walk Hour awards and the 2025 Outstanding Staff Awards celebrated people at every level, and in April 2026 SPU won a national Excellent-level award for promoting the employment of older persons.<\/p>\n<blockquote style=\"border-left: 6px solid #29ABE2; border-image: linear-gradient(to bottom, #29ABE2, #E6007E) 1; padding: 8px 0 8px 56px; font-size: 28px; line-height: 1.4; margin: 28px 0;\"><p>Decent work at SPU is written in policy, enforced by law-based procedures and celebrated every day by the people who make the university.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This approach supports the Faculty &amp; Staff Alpha Reskill Program in SPU&#8217;s Alpha Ready Roadmap 2026\u20132030 and the UN target to end forced labour, modern slavery, human trafficking and child labour. As a next step, SPU will publish a dedicated statement that names these practices explicitly and extends it to all contractors and suppliers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>At Sripatum University, the commitment against forced labour is not just words.
