SPUIC Airline Business students recently gained valuable behind-the-scenes exposure to professional ground operations through an educational visit to Bangkok Airways at Suvarnabhumi Airport<\/strong>. The activity allowed students to connect classroom knowledge with the real working environment of one of Thailand\u2019s leading aviation companies.<\/p>\n

During the visit, students observed key stages of the passenger journey, including check-in procedures, customer service operations, passenger assistance, document verification, and the use of airport self-service technology. Bangkok Airways professionals explained how different departments coordinate to ensure that passengers receive safe, efficient, and high-quality service from arrival at the terminal until boarding.<\/p>\n

Students also learned about the importance of communication, teamwork, punctuality, accuracy, and professional appearance within the aviation industry. Ground-service employees must work carefully under time pressure while maintaining international safety and service standards. This gave students a clearer understanding of the responsibilities, discipline, and attention to detail required for careers in airline and airport operations.<\/p>\n

The visit demonstrated how theories studied in the Airline Business programme are applied in real professional situations. By interacting directly with experienced industry personnel, students gained practical insights into customer relationship management, service recovery, operational coordination, and the use of digital systems to improve passenger convenience.<\/p>\n

The activity also helped students understand the wide range of career opportunities available within the aviation sector. These include passenger service, ground handling, airline operations, airport management, customer experience, and other supporting roles that contribute to the successful operation of the global aviation industry.<\/p>\n

This hands-on learning experience supports SPUIC\u2019s commitment to preparing students for employment by developing their professional knowledge, practical skills, confidence, and understanding of workplace expectations. It also highlights the importance of cooperation between universities and industry partners in creating meaningful learning opportunities outside the classroom.<\/p>\n
