SPU’s Public Relations Office recently transformed the campus into a celebration of imagination and inclusion with \u201cSPU Halloween Trick or Treat 2024.\u201d Held on October 31, 2024, at Building 11, the event brought together students, faculty, and staff for an afternoon brimming with creativity, community engagement, and dynamic cultural expression.<\/p>\n

Among the highlights was the costume contest, which welcomed students of all genders and backgrounds to showcase their originality for prizes totaling over 7,000 THB. The event created a safe space that empowered diverse self-expression and promoted gender visibility (5.3.1, 5.6.6, 10.6.4). Adding to the atmosphere were professional face-painting booths and the interactive \u201cHaunted House\u201d and \u201cFortune Telling\u201d zones, encouraging participation and community bonding (3.3.2, 16.2.3).<\/p>\n

More than just a celebration, the event embodied SPU\u2019s identity as a Dynamic University that nurtures students beyond the classroom. Through a cultural event framework, it supported informal learning (4.3.2, 4.3.4), artistic expression (11.2.5), and emotional well-being, while emphasizing inclusion of students from diverse socioeconomic and gender backgrounds (1.3.3, 5.3.1, 10.6.4).<\/p>\n

Additionally, the on-campus setting contributed to reduced commuting needs (11.4.1) and showcased responsible planning in event logistics. While the event did not explicitly mention SDGs, it contributed to broader SDG learning through inclusive participation and creative outreach (17.4.3).<\/p>\n

This initiative exemplifies how SPU\u2019s commitment to sustainability extends to the cultural and social dimensions of university life\u2014advancing the UN SDGs through vibrant, student-led experiences that foster equity, well-being, and community development.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
