Sripatum University (SPU) reinforces its environmental leadership through a robust wastewater treatment system that embodies its commitment to sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). With every building on campus equipped with wastewater treatment units, SPU ensures that water discharged into public systems is clean, safe, and compliant with engineering and environmental standards.<\/p>\n

This initiative is a direct contribution to SDG 6.3.1<\/strong>, which emphasizes pollution prevention through efficient wastewater treatment. SPU\u2019s Office of Facilities oversees the system’s operation, regularly inspecting and maintaining all units. The water, after undergoing mechanical, biological, and chemical treatment processes, is tested before being released, eliminating untreated discharge into urban drainage networks and helping safeguard both public health and the surrounding ecosystem.<\/p>\n

Beyond its core SDG alignment, the program also supports SDG 12.2.1 and 12.4.3<\/strong>, by managing water as a critical resource and applying strict waste disposal policies. The university’s ability to reuse treated water for non-potable applications such as irrigation and cleaning contributes to resource efficiency and waste reduction.
