SPU Delivers Energy Efficiency Expertise to Industry and Academia Alike<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sripatum University (SPU) is expanding its leadership in clean energy by transforming its campuses into high-efficiency energy models while extending its technical expertise to industry. In line with SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy<\/strong>, the university\u2019s recent operations and outreach initiatives emphasize efficiency, innovation, and capacity building.<\/p>\n

The Facilities Office at SPU has overseen the implementation of energy-saving measures across all buildings, including high-efficiency LED lighting<\/strong>, Inverter air-conditioning systems<\/strong>, and motion-sensitive control systems<\/strong> \u2014 core activities that support SDG 7.3.1<\/strong> on improving energy efficiency. On-campus solar rooftop installations reduce reliance on fossil fuels, contributing to SDG 7.2.1<\/strong>, which promotes the adoption of renewable energy sources.<\/p>\n

More than just improving internal systems, SPU has taken its role a step further by sharing its innovations with the private sector. Through energy management workshops<\/strong>, consultation services, and training courses on industrial energy optimization and renewable integration, the university supports SDG 7.4.3<\/strong> and SDG 7.4.5<\/strong>, which emphasize community and industry engagement in energy transition.<\/p>\n

SPU also collaborates with energy-focused agencies to exchange technologies and research on environmentally sound energy systems, contributing to knowledge-sharing under SDG 17.2.1<\/strong>. Meanwhile, annual performance evaluations and campus-wide energy audits provide measurable reductions in greenhouse gas emissions \u2014 a tangible result aligned with SDG 13.2.2<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Through these efforts, SPU has become a powerful example of how universities can operate as both efficient institutions and agents of national development. Its commitment to expanding clean energy access, fostering innovation, and engaging industry partners illustrates the university\u2019s role in shaping a more sustainable energy landscape for Thailand and beyond.<\/p>\n
