Sripatum University in association with Providence University in Taiwan organized the 2 day Mandarin Teachers’ training program from 23-24 November 2017 at SPU campus in Bangkok. Under academic collaboration between the two institutions, the program aimed to provide opportunity for Thai teachers who are currently teaching Chinese at Thai institutions in Thailand, to learn teaching techniques, develop their Chinese teaching skills and competency in providing students with Chinese skills to become successful graduates. The training was conducted by faculty members from Providence University Taiwan led by Mr. Carlos Huang – Director of Chinese Language Education Center. The opening ceremony was organized on the first day with an opening remark from Ms. Jill Lai, Education Attaché of the Cultural Division from Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand, and welcome speech from Dean of School of Liberal Arts – Asst. Prof. Dr. Waraporn Thaima. Throughout the 2 day program, the participants enjoyed the activities in the training, shared ideas, discussed, and finally made friends from across institutions.
