SPU Delegation Joins Huawei Digital & AI Summit 2026,
Gaining Hands-On Experience in Smart City and Cloud Technologies<\/strong><\/h2>\n

As artificial intelligence continues to shape the cities of the future, exposing students to global platforms has become essential in developing future-ready skills.<\/p>\n

The Faculty of Information Technology at Sripatum University led faculty members and students to participate in the AI+ Smart City Summit 2026, part of the Huawei Thailand Digital & AI Summit 2026, held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. The event provided valuable insights into smart city development across key sectors, including governance, education, healthcare, and tourism.<\/p>\n

Students explored how AI can be applied to enhance urban infrastructure and public services, reflecting the integration of technology into sustainable city development (SDG 11.1.3 Sustainable Cities and Communities: publications).<\/p>\n

A major highlight was the Huawei Cloud Workshop, where students gained hands-on experience in cloud architecture, real-world industrial applications, and direct interaction with Huawei experts. This practical training supports vocational skill development (SDG 4.3.3 Vocational training events) and prepares students for real-world careers (SDG 8.4.1 Proportion of students with work placements).<\/p>\n

Participation in this global event also highlights strong collaboration between academia and leading technology industries (SDG 17.2.1 Relationships with regional NGOs and government for SDG policy and private sector engagement), providing students with access to knowledge, innovation, and professional networks.<\/p>\n
