Approximately 100 people were interested in joining the training. The activities included a lecture on \u201cLessons from the Mae Lao, Nepal, Taiwan, Kumamoto, Japan and Ecuador Earthquakes to Prepare for Buildings in Thailand\u201d by Prof. Dr. Amorn and a lecture on \u201cReinforcing House Walls to Resist Earthquakes\u201d by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Paiboon Panya Kapo, a researcher of the NRCT\u2019s Earthquake Disaster Reduction Project in Thailand, which reinforced brick walls in the building frame using perforated metal mesh and fasteners to make the walls a part of the force-relief. Including training on reinforcing steel in beams, columns, joints and walls to be able to withstand earthquakes appropriately by Asst.
