Carrot: Hello everyone, my name is Carrot Saithip Patchareon. I am a third-year student majoring in Railway Engineering at Sripatum University. I grew up in a family of engineers, with my uncle and aunt both studying civil engineering. As a result, I saw the work model and financial stability of an engineer since I was a child, so I wanted to follow in their footsteps by choosing to study Railway Engineering, which is new and challenging and is likely to be one of the most promising engineering careers in the future. Railway Engineering Learning Style\n What is it like at SPU?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Carrot: Studying railway engineering at Sripatum University, I had the opportunity to do an internship outside every semester, learning from real people, getting to see real places, real trains and real tracks, and doing almost everything related to trains, from civil engineering to engines and electricity. I learned everything, both in theory and practice. It was knowledge that I didn\u2019t think a first or second year student would find anywhere else.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Carrot: At Sripatum University, there are many interesting activities that help us quickly adapt to our new surroundings, such as the freshman reception. We get to dance, exercise, have fun, and get tired together with our friends. There are many activities such as paying homage to teachers and the star and moon contest. When we join activities, what we definitely get is friendship. Every time there is an activity, we always have new friends.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Learning from real work experiences\n What does it give us?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Carrot: Since I came to study here, I have done three internships. The first was ARL, then Thai Railways, and CTC. I have also been trained and observed many places outside the office. What I definitely got from my internship is that I will gain new knowledge, experience, and good friendships from students from other universities who come to do the internship, as well as senior supervisors who provide advice and guidance on things I don\u2019t understand. Every time I go to do an internship or observe the work, I have to do mini projects every time. This has resulted in me having several works during the internship. The challenge of doing a project is that with every job, we will encounter problems. Problems overlap with problems. The best way to solve this is to experience the real thing and actually do it. I interviewed workers and supervisors, listened to opinions from various parties, and used them to improve and solve the problems I encountered. Engineering is a job that requires both strength and brains. We have to learn everything from the work that workers do to thinking like leaders. This makes us have to be mindful and think carefully and thoroughly at all times.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Carrot: I want to work at BTS. I work in the RST or DWS department. While I was studying, I interned directly at ARL and I liked what I did. So I want to work in this department of BTS, which is a public transportation system that we have to develop and maintain so that people can use it.
