I came to Guangxi Minzu University to study at Mingming Orchard, one of the largest and most modern orange orchards in China!<\/p>\n\n
This is not just an ordinary garden, but a leader in modern agriculture, covering an area of 2,000 mu, located in Wuming District, Nanning City, Guangxi Province.<\/p>\n\n
From this study tour, Student Affairs gained both knowledge and in-depth experience in agriculture and international trade:<\/p>\n\n
Tangerines (Oranges and tangerines) are the world’s largest-produced fruits and are of great economic importance, both in China and in export markets such as:<\/p>\n\n
Thai<\/p>\n\n
Vietnam<\/p>\n\n
Malaysia<\/p>\n\n
Indonesia<\/p>\n\n
Canada \u2014 Specifically in Canada, the orchard has been continuously exporting fruits to global retailer Costco for over 6 years!<\/p>\n\n
And what we are proud of is that \u201cThai green pomelo\u201d (Thai green pomelo) is gaining popularity in China, especially in Guangxi.<\/p>\n\n
Student Affairs listened to lectures on the fruit export process and international transportation, from sorting, packaging, export standards, to temperature-controlled transportation (Cold Chain) to maintain the best quality of fruit until it reaches customers abroad.<\/p>\n\n
Here, modern agricultural technology is used to the fullest extent:<\/p>\n\n
\u2022 Water Rain System helps oranges grow perfectly.<\/p>\n\n
\u2022 Drones for spraying fertilizer and taking care of agricultural plots<\/p>\n\n
\u2022 AI fruit sorting system that checks color, skin, weight, sweetness and blemishes <\/p>\n\n
\u2022 The system monitors the temperature of the trees and reports results in real time to see if the oranges are ready for harvest.<\/p>\n\n
Thank you to the garden management for the useful information and good ideas given to Student Affairs<\/p>\n\n
\u201cModern agriculture must combine technology, innovation, and the heart of the gardener.\u201d<\/p>\n\n
