70 dB Cafe (Seventy Decibel)<\/mark><\/p>\n\n

It is a cafe that the project was created to find a solution for people who do not want to work from home or like staying at home. But still like peace and privacy, and also like drinking tea or coffee. From interviewing customers at various cafes that we’ve been to, some people come to work at cafes because they’re stressed from working at home or think that home is a place to relax rather than to do anything stressful, so we see that this project should be called “SECOND HOUSE”. Or called a second home, which was inspired by interviews with people who have similar problems with noise in coffee shops or what is called Co-Working Space, which reduces their concentration in working. Even though it is a shared public space, it provides peace and quiet like sitting in your own home without any noise. So we searched for a solution that would help close the gaps or solve the problems that these sharp groups of people could not solve by themselves.<\/p>\n\n

Target group : <\/mark><\/p>\n\n

Customer group aged 20-30 years For those who want a noise-free workspace that isn\u2019t at home It has beautiful decorations or creates an atmosphere. Including those who like to drink tea and coffee and want a place that is convenient for traveling.<\/p>\n\n

Solution : <\/mark><\/p>\n\n

It is a coffee shop with a sign saying ‘Please cooperate in using the service’. There is a written request for cooperation at the store to ensure mutual understanding before customers enter. The service says, “This shop is a place for people who come to find a place to work. Which prohibits loud noises. This shop prohibits loud noises exceeding 70 dB and This shop does not accept pets or children.” and has special equipment or tools such as giving away ‘Earplugs’ as another option for using the service For the silence that customers want more than before, which is free of charge, There is a sound level meter installed at every table in the shop, and every table must use a sound level not exceeding 70 dB. For quietness, there is a Movable silence booth. Or a small mobile soundproof room that can block 100% of incoming and outgoing sound. For customers who want maximum silence without rental costs. But you must order snacks or drinks from the shop to reach the specified amount.<\/p>\n\n

Highlights of 70 dB cafe :<\/mark> There is a clear sign asking for cooperation, it is a No Pet Zone area and No kid zone, no charge for entry. The shop always recruits staff. Both the appearance and personality are decorated to create an atmosphere like a library. You can pick up books in the store and read them for free. And there is a massage zone for people who sit and work for long periods of time or have office syndrome.<\/p>\n\n
