The university continues to develop without stopping to become a leading university for new generations in every era in order to create and develop quality human resources for society and the country to continue to progress.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important positions<\/strong><br \/> With her experience, determination and broad vision, Dr. Sukh Pukyaporn has held many important positions, such as:<br \/> \u2022 President of the University Council and Licensee of Sripathum University<br \/> \u2022 Advisor to the Minister of Interior<br \/> \u2022 Advisor to the Thailand Scout Club<br \/> \u2022 Board member and advisor of the Private Vocational Schools Association of Thailand<br \/> \u2022 President of the Thai Military Cadet Director Association<br \/> \u2022 President of the Rice Mill Association<br \/> \u2022 Members of the Bangkok Municipal Council<br \/> \u2022 Chairman of the Thai Suriya Technology School Group<br \/> \u2022 President of Bangkhen Youth Center<br \/> \u2022 Chairman of the National Father&#8217;s Day event <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><strong>Royal decorations and medals<\/strong><br \/> \u2022 Second Class Order of the Crown of Thailand (T.M.)<br \/> \u2022 The Order of the White Elephant (Third Class)<br \/> \u2022 Scout Medal of Honour, 1st Class<br \/> \u2022 Red Cross Medal of Praise<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>January 12, 1916<\/strong><br \/> Dr. Suk Phukkayakorn was born on Friday, January 12, 1916 at Ban Rim Nam, Khlong Sip Subdistrict, Nong Chok District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. He was the fifth child of Mr. Phukkayakorn and Mrs. Rang Phukkayakorn. When young, he studied at Wat Saen Kasem until he finished Prathom 4 in 1927. He then was ordained as a novice for 30 days. After disrobing, he returned to help his parents with their business.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1932 &#8211; 1953<\/strong><br \/> 1932, separated to do business by himself, growing steadily from the beginning of rowing a boat to sell goods, buying and selling groceries, buying and selling rice until buying a rice mill to run by himself in 1947. It took time to establish himself in this early period from 1932 &#8211; 1947, totaling more than 15 years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2496<\/strong><br \/> He started his construction contracting career by joining his friends to establish the Songserm Satharat Company in Pratunam area. The business gradually grew. Throughout his life, Dr. Suk\u2019s experience was self-employment and self-study. Everything that happened in his life was a lesson. He never gave up. His motto that those close to him heard was that \u201cEducation is life and life is action.\u201d <\/p>\n<p><strong>2510<\/strong><br \/> The government opened up opportunities for the private sector to organize vocational education. Dr. Sukh Phukayaphon started to establish vocational education institutes, which have now expanded to many places, including the Thai Business Administration and Commerce School, Thai Ayothaya Business Administration School, Phatthanawit School, Thaksin Business Administration School, Thai Bencha Business Administration School Chonburi, Kulsiri Technology and Business Administration School, Chiang Rai Polytechnic School, Rungroj Suksa School, Siriwattana Business Administration and Commerce School, and Sukrit School. <\/p>\n<p><strong>2513<\/strong><br \/> It was the year that the government had a policy to allow the private sector to participate in easing the burden of higher education. Dr. Suk Phukyaphon started the establishment of Sripathum College, receiving the grace of Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra, who bestowed the name of the college and proceeded to open the first school building on February 14, 1972.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1987<\/strong><br \/> Dr. Suk Phukayaphon tried to take care of the operations of this college by finding qualified and experienced people to manage and be teachers and was determined to develop without giving up until the University Council changed the type from a college to a university in 1987.
