SPU Green Mission: Library Staff Join Reforestation and Plastic Reuse CSR Project at Khao Kheow Open Zoo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a powerful demonstration of Sripatum University\u2019s commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable community engagement, the Office of the University Library launched a vibrant CSR initiative \u2014 \u201cReforestation and Plastic Cup Donation\u201d \u2014 at Khao Kheow Open Zoo, Chonburi Province. Led by Dr. Apiradee Amnarkanmanee, the Director of the Library, the project took place during the 2024 staff seminar and CSR camp on May 12\u201313, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This green-minded mission featured seed-ball tree planting to promote biodiversity and ecosystem restoration. The project also included a unique plastic cup donation under the \u201cKaeo Klah for You\u201d campaign, which repurposes used cups as seedling pots \u2014 a clear move towards reducing single-use plastic and supporting circular economy efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond environmental goals, the event aimed to strengthen staff relationships and broaden sustainability awareness among participants. By encouraging cross-functional collaboration and embedding SDG literacy into team-building efforts, this seminar achieved far more than internal bonding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through its conscious restoration efforts and educational impact, SPU\u2019s Library Office has made a meaningful contribution not only to forest and watershed health but also to climate resilience, equity, and responsible citizenship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SPU continues to stand out in Thailand\u2019s academic community for its active alignment with global sustainable goals. As each seed-ball was launched and each cup was reused, the Library team planted not just trees \u2014 but a legacy of change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
