Cooperative Education<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Cooperative Education is a system of education that systematically combines classroom teaching\/learning with real work experiences at workplace. Through supporting of industries and workplaces, the students work, develop learning skills and professional competencies in their field of studies. Such experiences make them more ready for the job that is in line with workplaces requirements of after graduation<\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

Objectives:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

    \n
  1. To promote learning and developing professional experiences of students through working under \u00a0industrial environment<\/li>\n\n
  2. To enhance skills and experiences of\u00a0 students that will make them more ready for employment<\/li>\n\n
  3. To offer opportunities for industries to participate in human resource development valuable to community, society, and the country<\/li>\n\n
  4. To create technical collaborations and bonding between industries and educational institutions<\/li>\n\n
  5. To get \u00a0industrial feedback \u00a0for \u00a0curriculum development \u00a0that \u00a0is more responsive \u00a0to \u00a0the needs of \u00a0industries and \u00a0workforce \u00a0markets<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

    Characteristics of Cooperative Education Program:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

      \n
    1. Student \u00a0works \u00a0as \u00a0if \u00a0he\/she \u00a0is \u00a0a \u00a0temporary staff of the workplace and is under \u00a0close supervision and guidance of \u00a0the \u00a0assigned \u00a0staff \u00a0throughout \u00a0the \u00a0program<\/li>\n\n
    2. The student \u00a0will be given \u00a0a \u00a0clear job \u00a0responsibility \u00a0from the workplace but \u00a0in \u00a0line \u00a0with his\/her field of study<\/li>\n\n
    3. The student works full time for a period of one semester (16 weeks). During the period he\/she will be under close monitoring and supervision from the University\u2019s Cooperative Education Supervisors<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

      \u00a0<\/p>\n\n

      Qualifications of the Participating Students:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

        \n
      1. Possess \u00a0a \u00a0grade \u00a0point average \u00a0of \u00a0not \u00a0less\u00a0 than 2.00<\/li>\n\n
      2. Completed \u00a0Major\u2019s subjects according to that required by his\/her academic program<\/li>\n\n
      3. Well behaved and not \u00a0being subjected \u00a0to \u00a0disciplinary \u00a0punishment<\/li>\n\n
      4. Being accountable, self \u00a0discipline and capable of \u00a0self \u00a0development<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

        \u00a0<\/p>\n\n

        Benefit for the Participating Students:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

        1. Opportunities for acquiring professional experiences in the field of study that enable him\/her to do the job immediately after graduation<\/li>\n\n
        2. Learn how to work with others and the opportunities for other skill development \u00a0that needed for employment \u00a0in \u00a0line with that required for quality of graduates<\/li>\n\n
        3. Opportunities to explore and identify his\/her own interest and professional competency needed in his\/her subject \u00a0area<\/li>\n\n
